Battle of the Mariachis at Mission San Juan Capistrano

If you are looking for something to do today, you might want to check out the  Sixth Annual Battle of the Mariachis Festival, a celebration of the talent, interpretation and inspiration of young musicians from across Southern California.

Whether you simply wish to rejuvenate yourself by relaxing and basking in nature’s glory or prefer to tackle one of the adventures this nature’s playground has to offer, how active you are is based solely on your state of mind and your imagination.

Explore the San Juan Mountains and surrounding area with a stay at Ouray Chalet Inn, Ouray has over 500 miles of 4-wheeling fun (Jeep or ATV), from easy to class 5 adventures. Experience Ouray’s history or hike through the high country and feel like you are on top of the world. And at the end of the day, you can soak under the stars in the Chalet’s hot tub or head to the naturally heated water of the Hot Springs Pool.

The Mission’s  Courtyard will host a day full of live musical entertainment, authentic Mexican food, folkloric dance workshops, mariachi workshops and bilingual puppet theater performances.

I’m going to try to head down there this afternoon because I have wanted to watch this now for a couple of years.
