I have to admit, I had heard about the book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but I have not yet read it. After watching this really cute and funny film, I can’t wait to get my hands on the book. The book is perfect for a family night.
The movie along with the move centers around Greg Heffley, a soon to be middle schooler, along with his best friend, Rowley Jefferson. Greg hopes that middle school will be different and becomes focused on a quest to become popular. The more he tries, the more he fails. It is a funny movie and I think one that we can all relate to. It deals with the awkwardness that comes with junior high/middle school, friendships and character. I really enjoyed the movie and I think you will too!
The movie is availabe on DVD and Blue Ray on Tuesday, August 3rd at retailers nationwide.

My son absolutely LOVES The Diary of a Whimpy Kid books–he keeps 4 of them on his top bunk! And, we all thought the movie was funny and worth adding to our collection.
Excited to see the movie w/ my daughter… She is transitioning from a small private school into a large "scary place called middle school" which she starts next week. She is concerned about meeting new friends and things like being late to her many new classes. Under the circumstances we are looking forward to checking it out …
My kids wanted to see it in the theater, but we never made it. Now they see the commercial that the dvd is coming out, I keep telling them wait for Redbox! Haha, they would love to have a copy of their own!

My son has read one of the books and we saw the movie when it first came out. He's starting middle school next month at a school where he won't know anybody — a scary thought for anybody. I'd love to win the DVD so we can watch the movie together again before his first day of school

Wow! We would absolutely love to see this movie! The books are so enjoyable that after my 6-year-old powered through the whole book series–I got my mitts on the first one and was hooked! I found myself smiling after every page.
I would love to own the DVD so we can watch it with family and pals and enjoy all those laugh out loud moments we loved in the books. 🙂

I actually read all the books & loved them! I bought them for my god-son & when he was finished with them I was supposed to donate them to the library but kept them & read them instead, lol. They were good.
As my son gets older, he sadly seems to enjoy reading less and less. DVDs are always great supplements and motivators.

My son was behind in reading last year in the first grade. All of his friends were reading Diary of a Whimpy Kid. He brought it home on library day and sat with me to read. What a life saver. He loved the book and it started his love for reading. It would be great to give him the DVD. He would love it.
My 7 year old daughter saw this book at my neighbor's house about a week ago and asked if she could borrow it. Apparently it must be a great book and series because she blew through it in 1 day and has moved on through books 2 and 3 since. She has been asking to see the movie and this would be a great surprise for her and a great reward for all of her reading.
My 3 boys have all the books and have read them numerous times – BELLYLAUGHING out loud (BLOL)! It makes me want to read them.

My 3 boys have been wanting to see this movie, but we haven't been able to take them. They would love to watch this movie at home. Not to mention my oldest is going into high school and my 6 year old is on his own at school now without big brother to say hi to and keep track of him. I think they can relate that is why they want to see it.
