Kung Fu Panda 2 and Giveaway
Posted by: | Comments
Giveaway is now closed: The winner is Gina
Have you seen Kung Fu Panda? It is a huge hit at home and on our movie rotation. Kung Fu Panda 2 opens up this weekend and our contributor Desiree, had the opportunity to head out and watch the movie at the DreamWorks Studio last week.
She shares below.
Recently, my son and I had the opportunity to view “Kung Fu Panda 2” via a mommy bloggers premiere at the DreamWorks Studios in Glendale, California. It was an amazing experience and I left feeling excited to share this experience with all of you.
I am a believer in the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” and I believe in surrounding my children with positive people, positive experiences and positive messages. I am a HUGE fan of DreamWorks Animation films. They promote really great life lessons that are understandable and relatable to children. In the first Kung Fu Panda movie, the lesson was about accepting people as they are and realizing your potential. The messages in Kung Fu Panda 2 are teamwork, friendship and overcoming adversity from your past to have a brighter future.
In the 2nd installment of the adventures of an adorable, larger-than-life, Kung Fu fighting panda, we go back to Po’s beginnings and find out why is has a goose for a father. My favorite part was seeing Po as an infant (audio played by Clare de Chenu’s son) and how Mr. Ping got to adopting him (and even more interesting-why Mr. Ping’s soup doesn’t’ have radishes).
In this movie Po has a new enemy, named Lord Shen who controls an evil wolf army. Lord Shen causes chaos and destruction in China and threatens to destroy Kung Fu with the “Kaboom of doom” a cannon that shoots fireballs made of fireworks. Without giving too much of the film away, I will finish by saying that this film is very action packed and would be great for the over 6 year old set (it is rated PG). There is also a tear jerking scene smack dab in the middle of the movie. Call me a sap, but I cried like a baby!
Kung Fu Panda 2 premiers May 27th in Read D)) 3D and Digital 3D in theaters nationwide. I highly suggest you go and enjoy this movie with your kids! You’ll laugh as much as they do!

The Kung Fo Po Wrestler, by Mattel has been fought over like you couldn’t imagine.
You can Twist him, Tackle him and Tumble with him. My son actually thinks he is in some kind of wrestling ring with him. It also makes sounds and “talks”. My kiddos get a kick every time he “talks” to them.
You can find Kung Fo Po Wrestler at major retailers.
Win a Kung Fu Po Wrestler for your kiddo.
Just leave a comment letting me know why you would want to win and you will be entered to win. Contest ends on June 4th at 11:59pm. Good luck!
