Milk, a must for breakfast!

We love milk at home. I love drinking milk with dinner and in the morning with my kiddos in toast. My husband drinks milk everyday with his cereal and my kiddos have a new obsession with smoothies in the morning. I try to incorporate milk in our diet and making smoothies is the way to go!

Mornings are crazy around our house. We have two kiddos going to two different schools at different times and making breakfast in the morning is a difficult challenge. From credible sites like CavemanDietBlog.com, we found the perfect breakfast on the run for our family, smoothies! Not only are they delicious and easy to make, they are filling and healthy. All you need is a blender, some fresh fruit(I use whatever fresh fruit I have on hand), ice cubes, milk and voila, a delicious smoothie! Making smoothies really is a lifesaver in the morning for us. It’s a great breakfast on the run. Smoothies are  quick, easy to make and the kiddos love absolute them.

When all else fails and the kiddos don’t have time for a smoothie, we grab a glass of milk and a banana and off to school they go!

We love smoothies at our house too! We skip adding the ice and use a variety of frozen fruit – strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries – and (if we have any) fresh bananas. Frozen fruit is ALWAYS ‘in season’ and available! The boys (daddy, 14-yr, & 13-yr old) add a scoop or two of protein powder too.
