Disney Halloween Bash and some great Halloween Ideas for the family!

Credit: DisneyFamily.com

Last week my son and I had the opportunity to head to the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank for a very special Halloween Bash. We had the opportunity to check out some of the fun features that DisneyFamily.com and FamilyFun.com are cooking up this Halloween Season. We were also able to check out the new games from Disney Interactive Studios.

We love Halloween in our family and this weekend we plan on doing pumpkin carving. DisneyFamily.com has some super fun templates that we can’t wait to use. They have twenty templates offered for characters including Mickey and Friends, Jack Skellington, Tinker Bell, Phineas and Ferb, Perry the Platypus, and the newest Disney Princess, Rapunzel, among others. My daughter is planning on carving Rapunzel and my son is planning on carving a Jack Skellington. You can download them here.

They also have some of the cutest and super easy crafts along with some super tasty treats perfect for the holiday season.

Celebrate with Sandra Lee” on FamilyFun.com is a brand new web series that gives parents simple, spooky ideas for their family’s Halloween celebration. The ideas are fun, easy-to-execute, and can be made with things you already have around the house!

The absolute favorite part of Disney’s Halloween Bash for my son was being able to try out some of Disney Interactive Studios newest games. I literally couldn’t get him to budge from any of the games. He was able to check out Cars 2: The Video Game and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. I plan on doing a more in depth review and giveaway soon. Stay tuned!

Make sure to check out Disney Family.com for some super fun ideas for this weekend and stay tuned for a more in depth review on Disney Interactive Studios latest releases.

Halloween Zoo-tacular at the OC Zoo

This week I had the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the Halloween Zootacular that will be taking place this Saturday, October 29th from 10am to 4pm at the Orange County Zoo. This super fun family day is the perfect way to kick off the Halloween festivities.

I took my son to the Zoo and he had a great time watching the animals enjoy some tasty Halloween treats. I think his favorite was watching the raccoons eat some of their special Halloween goodies. We also watched the bears and coati enjoy their special pumpkins. We really enjoyed watching the raccoons and the coati stick practically their entire bodies in the pumpkins in search of their special treats.

The Halloween Zoo-tacular will feature face painting, crafts, trick-or-treating for the kiddos and a scavenger hunt. I think everyone in the family will absolutely love watching the animals devour the treat-filled pumpkins throughout the day! Pumpkins will be filled with avocadoes, honey and peanut butter for the bears; fruit, vegetables and meat for the raccoons and mice for the mountain lion, bobcats and ocelot.

It is a super fun filled day and included with admission to the zoo. Admission is $2 per person, kids 2 and under are free. For additional info head here.
