I have to be honest, I struggle everyday with what to cook for my family. I’m not the best cook and honestly with this heat all I want to do is pack up the family and head to Souplantation for some summer salad. I have to talk myself out of this everyday. There is one thing my kiddos love and that is anything that is grilled on the barbecue. It’s healthy, tasty and so easy to make.

Recently I was at the grocery store and decided to pick up skewers. We have been missing out. I’ve made kabobs out of everything. So easy to prepare, grill and your kiddos will love them. We made some amazing teriyaki chicken skewers that the kiddos devoured in seconds. Here’s all you need.

  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbs teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbs Worcestershire Sauce (I cant’ live without it)
  • 1 pound chicken breasts cut in pieces
  • 1 onion chopped

In a bowl mis the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and Worcestershire Sauce. I also add a squeeze of lemon juice. Throw chicken in the sauce. Let it sit in Fridge for half hour. After half hour add chicken and onion to skewers. Grill for about 3 to 5 minutes depending on your grill. Delish and so easy!

We also let the kiddos make their own dessert skeweres. Just use your favorite summer fruit, watermelon, melon and strawberries, cut it up, serve in bowls and let your kiddos make their own dessert skewers. Win win for the Entire family!
