Green Works’ You Don’t Have to Be Ridiculous to be Green #YouDontHavetoBe

Do you ever feel that we have to be all or nothing? This is how I feel about being green. It seems like you have to be either crunchy-green mama or don’t even try. It’s embarrassing to admit, but sometimes I find myself being critical of not only myself, but others, when it comes to being green. I find myself saying, you can’t be green if you don’t drive a hybrid or you don’t buy all organic, however, that doesn’t have to be the case.

We are feeling pressure to be either in all the way in your commitment to being green, or not at all. Women are feeling  pressure because somewhere along the line green became a status symbol – now everyone has an opinion about how you aren’t doing enough to be eco-friendly

Clorox Green Works products, which are accessible and available to everyone believes that green isn’t just for the eco-fanatics or the rich in time and resources. They believe in a green for everyone! Green Works’ You Don’t Have to Be Ridiculous to be Green campaign reminds us just that, you don’t have to be ridiculous to be Green, it’s really all about the simple things, and WE can all make a difference. They have a hilarious new web series, called the Green Housewives. You can check it out here. It pokes fun at the ridiculousness of it all.

I love that we can make a difference by changing the little things. We all don’t have to sell our cars and take up walking or only buying organics. We can all do something, by changing the little things, such as the cleaning products you use.

To help remind us that we can do something, Green Works is giving away a basket of their goodies. All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know, what is your biggest hurdle when it comes to being green? Winner will be chosen at random. Giveaway ends on February 6th at 11:59pm. Good Luck!

The biggest hurdle is the price of being green. Usually organic and trying to be green cost more. Like for instance using plastic bags because I am not organized to get the recycled bags and leave them in the car when I need them, or have to purchase double so it’s in both cars. We do some things green but hard to go totally green without going crazy if you know what I mean.

My biggest hurdle is actually cleaning supplies. It’s hard to find a good cleaner that isn’t super expensive and will clean/disinfect properly. I have my favorite cleaners, which I don’t want to replace.

The biggest hurdle is the cost of being green. As much as I want to save the environment, sometimes that ends up being more expensive than conventional methods.
