Free Entrance to the U.S. National Parks

Spring Break is coming and I can’t help to start thinking about what to do with the kids and maybe planning a little of a getaway. I love anyway to save a buck, and if you are planning on taking a vacation to a national park, like Yellowstone or Yosemite, you might want to take advantage of the Free Entrance Days,  the National Park Service offers.  The National Park Service is offering Free Entrance Days during the following dates

    • April 22-26
five days during National Park Week
    • August 25
      National Park Service Birthday
    • September 28
      National Public Lands Day
    • November 9-11
      Veterans Day weekend

I know that National Park Week might be a little late for Spring Break,  but it might be the perfect time to head out for a shorter two or three day getaway. The kiddos haven’t had the opportunity to visit Yosemite and I would love to take them. There are almost 400 National Parks and a good amount are located in California and the surrounding areas. We had the opportunity to explore the outskirts of Zion National Park late last year and I can’t wait to check more out. For additional information head here.

Oh, that is such a neat idea! Thanks for sharing – we love being outside! And being right by the beach, I can’t tell you how much I miss trees and forests and the smell of fresh mountain air!
