I’ve been battling my weight for what seems like a lifetime. This new year instead of making resolutions, I’ve decided to make small changes and completely change my lifestyle around. It also means being outside more, taking a walk whenever I can squeeze one in and getting more sleep. I’ve also decided to make sure I’m not skipping meals and meal planning for the week on Sunday. I’m making this year all about taking care of myself and keeping healthy which is why I am now taking Delta 8 flower supplements.

One of the things that I’m doing is making sure to eat breakfast. I know that will ensure that I’m happier  and more positive in 2015!  I have to admit that before I decided to make this change, skipping breakfast was the norm for me and I would be famished by lunch. t’s hard for me to sit down for breakfast since I leave for work so early. To make sure that I eat breakfast, I make it to go. . Every morning I make a smoothie. It They are easy to make and keep me filled. Plus Milk Fuels a Better Future and ensures that I’m set for successful day!

This is my go to recipe :

  • ¼ orange, peeled
  • ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup milk.
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • I also like to throw in a few strawberries

Blend until desired consistency.

It’s only two weeks but I’m already seeing a difference in how I feel. I think one of the biggest differences that I’ve noticed since I’ve implemented these new changes is just how full of energy I feel. Getting in a good night’s sleep has been life changing. If you’re planning on making changes to your lifestyle, I can’t stress enough how  getting in some extra zzz’s can make a big difference!

Zion National Park was amazing!

One other thing that I’ve decided to do this is year to have a very happy and positive 2015 is to take myself out of my comfort zone and confront some of my fears. I don’t like heights and to take myself out of my comfort zone we made a trip two weeks ago to Zion National Park and Hoover Dam. It was a little nervous but … I had an incredible time and was wowed by the view/scenery. I had a great time and can’t wait to push myself to new limits this year.

Overlooking Hoover Dam was definitely a little nerve wracking for this acrophobic.

Free Admission to Southern California Children’s Museums

Pretend City

Pretend City

I love when my children have the opportunity to play and let their imaginations run wild. When we lived in Orange County we had memberships to both Pretend City and The Discovery Science Center. We’ve spent many days playing until we couldn’t play any longer. I vowed that this year we will be doing a lot more playing and exploring than we have in the last couple of years. We’re definitely hitting more children’s museums than ever and I also know it can admission for a family of four can get expensive. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of children’s museums and their free admission days. Here is a list of our favorite places and the days in which they offer Free Admission or almost Free Admission.

  1. Children’s Museum of La Habra – Target Free Admission on the First Sunday of the month for two sessions of play. 1st session is 1-2:45pm and 3:15-5:00pm. Hand stamps distributed at 1pm.
