Portable Nutrition – #GalletitasHBOats @HBOats @HBOatsLatino #Ad

This is part of a sponsored campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Honey Bunches of Oats. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

It seems as Americans we are always running from dawn’s first light until well after sunset, we don’t stop. Nutrition is an important thing to consider as we are running around during the day. This includes getting breakfast and something healthier than a donut.  I wrote earlier this week about the importance of eating good foods and I have another fiber and protein rich grab and go snack, Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits.  These are great to pack on our weekend daytripping too.

Exploring Seagrove Park

Here are a couple of tips from our experience, to be sure the kids (and hubby) get breakfast to start the day:

  • We have begun waking up a little earlier so they have enough time to eat breakfast before rushing out the front door.
  • In addition to preparing school lunches the night before, we also layout breakfast ahead of time, (perishables are kept in the fridge).
  • Twice a week, my kiddos participate in their running club at school. Following their run, they eat a hot breakfast from the school cafeteria.

We have tried all three flavors, each are delicious. I must say, the strawberry flavor was the first box to become empty. I also want to say, that it tasted like real strawberry, not some artificial flavoring.  These are made with real ingredients, including the chocolate and honey. I was truly impressed with the real taste!  Check out Honey Bunches of Oats on Facebook.
