Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch

Update: The giveaway has closed. The winner of the giveaway is Dawn. Thank you all for entering.ย

September is almost over. Can you believe it? It seems like this month just flew by. It also means that Halloween is just around the corner, which just so happens to be my favorite holiday! We have a lot of Halloween traditions in our family, and one of our favorite ones is visiting the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. This weekend we had the opportunity to head to the park, have a ton of fun, and of course pick out a pumpkin.

It's my daughter's 9th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

It’s my daughter’s 10th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

We had a great time visiting the patch. The kids rode the train, went on a hayride, bounced in a bouncy house, rode bikes, got lost in a maze, and of course ate some yummie treats.

This is Irvine Park Railroad’s 10th year of putting on the pumpkin patch. I think with every year that goes by, the patch only gets better. We’ve been coming since the very 1st one, when my daughter was only a few months old. It’s definitely a family tradition.

The Pumpkin Patch is open from now until Halloween. It’s open 7 days a week, starting at 10am. Entrance to the patch is free and tickets for activities/train rides are $5 each. There are plenty ย of spots to take great photos and so much to do with the family.

It’s giveaway time! We’re giving away a prize package to one lucky reader.

Win 4 tickets – which can be used to ride the train or participate in Pumpkin Patch activities, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals bike rental, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals Paddle Boat Rental.

All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know what you love the most about Halloween. That’s it! Winner will be chosen at random. Giveaway ends on October 1st at 11:59pm. Good luck!

There are so many things I love about Halloween! It has something for all ages! Blood and gore for teens & adults and magic and memories for younger kids & their parents! Being a mom of two little ones I absolutely love the excitement that every kid has about a holiday revolved around kids’ 2 favorite things: CANDY and MAKE-BELIEVE!! A magical night where a child can play dress up, be whoever they want to be for a night and get candy!!

My favorite part of Halloween time is the feel of the air and all the fun it hints at. It means (usually) a nice Fall breeze, an exciting time to decorate and creativity in costumes and fun activities with my daughter. It also means pumpkins, lots and lots of pumpkins! I love visiting pumpkin patches to catch some cute memorabilia photos of my little! Can’t wait to get our family into a pumpkin patch this year!i

My favorite thing about Halloween is seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes and seeing them trick or treating around the neighborhood!

We just love all of the dressing up and imagination that goes into Halloween. And as our family has grown over the years, we love to take photos of the kids in the same spot every year and compare them to the previous year. It’s neat to see how much they have grown over a years time and how their taste in Halloween costume ideas have changed.

I like the smells in the air of fall. The caramel, the cider, the nutmeg, and pumpkin. I reminisce on going door to door for candy snd each of us,taking a pillow case, seeing who can fill theirs closest to the top. I now have kids of my own and we paint faces and participate in decorating our car in a really awesome theme and handing out candy out of trunk to kids at local park. And it then won’t be long until Thanksgiving!
