A Daycation to Remember at the #PacificEdgeHotel and Giveaway

A Day in Paradise

A Day in Paradise

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to check out the Pacific Edge Hotel in Laguna Beach. I love Southern California and the Pacific Edge Hotel is pure Southern California. It’s a beautiful beach front hotel, with the most pristine waterfront beach. It’s absolute paradise!

The Pacific Edge Hotel has the most amazing beach!

The Pacific Edge Hotel has the most amazing beach!

I’ve stayed at the hotel a few times before and let me just say that it is hands down one of my favorite hotels in the world. It is an amazing place and I love to stay there at least once a year.  Two years ago we stayed there all of Spring Break and it was such an amazing stay. I can’t wait to do it again.

Sometimes it’s hard to get away for more than a day and one day is all you have. I call this, daycationing. The kids and I packed a bag and headed down to the Pacific Edge for a beautiful daycation in one of their beautiful bungalows. The private, beachfront Bungalows are perfect for the most amazing day at the beach or to celebrate a special occasion. I’m turning 40 in a two months and am planning on celebrating my birthday there. Words or photos can’t really begin to describe how magical the bungalows really are.

The Beach Bungalows are So Cal Paradise and have every comfort you can think of

Each bungalow includes a comfortable living room that overlooks the ocean, a VIP Bungalow Host, a private bathroom with shower, bar area, valet parking, catered food and beverages, and a private deck area. You can order food from the Deck Restaurant. The food my friends is out of this world. My kiddos were in absolute heaven!!

You can rent one Bungalow for up to ten guests, or reserve all five for a very special oceanfront event. Ouray Chalet Inn was our choice, a Hotel Nearby Ouray Hot Springs that had amazing views.

Bungalow rentals include:

  • Fully private bungalow with keyed access from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Bungalow VIP Host at your service
  • Catering from The Deck, Bottle service and more
  • Air conditioning and flat screen televisions
  • Direct access to the hotel’s private beach
  • Beach Attendant to set up lounge chairs, day beds, umbrellas, and beach towel

The Deck restaurant has quite the menu. I would eat there everyday if I could.

The Bungalows also have direct access to the Pacific Edge Beach. You won’t ever have to worry about bringing towels, sand toys, or a chair. Everything is provided for you by a beach concierge. It is the ultimate beach trip. I remember watching the kiddos playing on the sand and having to pinch myself. I felt like I was at an exclusive resort in Hawaii.

Bungalow day rates start at $250 for weekdays and $450 on weekends, not including food & beverage minimums, and are subject to availability. Rates also vary by season.

You can share with 10 to 12 people and I think it’s perfect to split the cost with a group of friends. It is an incredible experience.

We’re excited to be able to giveaway a Bungalow daycation to one very lucky reader. Just click on the rafflecopter widget below and you’ll be entered for a chance to stay at this incredible place. Good luck friends! This is one giveaway I wish I could enter!

(Disclosure: This is not a compensated post. I was invited to spend an afternoon at one of the Pacific Edge Bungalows. However, all opinions are my very own and I absolutely love the Pacific Edge Hotel)

Pacific Edge Hotel of Laguna Beach

beach house
Living here in SoCal means not having to go far for the beach.  This past November, we were invited to stay the night at the Pacific Edge in Laguna Beach.  The Pacific Edge Beach Front rooms all feature balconies with a beach view. Each room also has a wet bar with a mini fridge and a microwave.  There are also several value priced rooms without the view but are equally close to the beach, like literally just a few yards away!

The following day, we got to stay in their unique beach front Bungalows. Each Bungalow at the Pacific Edge Hotel includes a comfortable living room that overlooks the ocean, a VIP Bungalow Host, a private bathroom with a shower, a bar area, valet parking, catered food and beverages, and a private oceanfront deck area. Rent one Bungalow for up to ten guests, or reserve all five for an oceanfront event. They are the perfect setting for a birthday celebration, a day with the family, corporate meetings, or industry soirees.

In 2013, Pacific Edge Hotel enhanced The Bungalow experience further by partnering with five local groups. These groups are local companies and groups who have had the opportunity to enjoy The Bungalows and wanted to make them “theirs”. Each group decorated a Bungalow to their own, unique style, creating a custom interior design that reflects that group’s style. This means each of the five bungalows are distinct and unique.  They can be rented individually, or the entire area could be rented for a large party, such as a wedding reception or an anniversary party.

laguna beach

We spent our entire Saturday in Bungalow 3, which was designed by Tania Cassill Interior Design and inspired by the work of local artists and designers who share the same love for the ocean, the surf and the Laguna Beach lifestyle. Our room had natural sisal floor coverings, a luxurious overstuffed sofa, and large windows lined with cotton panels to maintain the cool breeze from the ocean and the sun’s natural light.  Each bungalow has a VIP host that made sure we had everything we needed from complimentary snack and drinks to our delicious lunch from The Deck restaurant located there at the hotel.  My husband’s not much of a beach guy, so he was kept entertained by the huge flat screen plasma TV and every channel you could think of. If you are looking for kitchen equipments,  the right one for your needs can be found here!  The kids and I spent much of our afternoon down on the sand, where a cabana attendant helped to set us up with chairs, towns, umbrellas and beach toys.  I’ve never felt quite so spoiled at the beach.  Learn more about their bungalow packages here.

Pageant of the Masters Deal – Two for one Tickets!!!

I love Pageant of the Masters! I look forward to it every single summer. This year we will be taking my 5 year old. I’ve decided that she is ready for it and we are pretty excited!

If you don’t know what Pageant of the Masters is all about, let me tell you. It is fabulous! Pageant of the Masters is 90 minutes of “living pictures”. These “living pictures” are incredible re-creations of  classic and contemporary works of art. Real people pose to look exactly like their counterparts in a larger than life setting. It is incredible and I’m really not doing it justice in my description. It is one of those things that you have to see with your own eyes to believe! It is a perfect date night or family night with kids 5 and up. I can’t recommend it enough. It is set in a beautiful amphitheater, under the stars in Laguna Beach. You can almost hear the waves crashing from it’s beautiful location.

The show sells out quickly but there are seats in the upper tier and directors tier and they are dirt cheap! You can buy one and get one for free for performances in July. I just bought two tickets for Friday night’s performance for $23 total! It is the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

If you would like to attend and purchase tickets under this deal head here… hurry because these tickets will go fast! Have fun!

UPDATE Tues Night 7/20: Tix are still available for this Friday, Sunday and Monday nights for this deal!
