Say Love with Shari’s Berries

We were sent some delicious chocolate covered strawberries and other treats by Shari’s Berries. It’s last minute, but these are great gift that can still get to your loved one in time for Valentine’s Day.

They have absolutely delicious gifts like dipped strawberries, chocolates, caramel marshmallow pops, love bug brownie pops (my son’s favorite), dipped cherries, chocolate-dipped Oreo cookies (my favorite), dipped pretzels and red velvet cake truffles.  Those items in the picture above would be mini cheesecakes. These were probably the most delectable tasting cheesecakes we have ever tasted.

The cake truffles were among the most popular items in our family. Each one of those above is a different flavor, including: red velvet, cookies and cream, peanut butter and almond joy. They taste incredible.

IMG_1684In some amazing way, Shari’s Berries features the ripest, sweetest strawberries that they cover in milk chocolate, white chocolate and coated in nuts and chocolate chips.  Describing them in words does not do them justice.  Below you can read 10 creative ideas for Valentine’s Day.

ArtOfGiftGivingThere is still time to have your order delivered in time for Valentine’s Day. They will even be delivering on Saturday, so there is not excuse to miss this opportunity to give to your significant other, parent or child.

Lady and the Tramp back on the big screen!

Here in SoCal, we are fortunate to be close to Hollywood’s legendary El Capitan Theatre. If you haven’t been, it’s quite the experience to sit inside such a beautiful old movie palace. The kind they don’t build anymore. Well, just in time for Valentine’s Day, El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to present Disney’s animated classic “Lady and the Tramp,” along with Disney’s all-new stop-motion animated short film, “Blank: A Vinylmation™ Love Story” February 14-20 2014.

Safe Haven hits theaters Feb 14th!

Julianne Hough - Photo Credit: Caryn Bailey

Well, I promised you that follow up post about my husband Mike’s interview with Julianne Hough, so here it goes. Julianne was the first interview of the day and she was very excited to speak to a room full of moms, plus one dad: Mike.  Mike got the interview off to a start with his questions. This is her fourth Hollywood film as a lead, but first non-musical. Afterall, she’s been in the new Footloose, Rock of Ages and Burlesque. She also had a cameo in a Harry Potter film about 12 years ago.

Julianne was asked how different her experience was on Safe Haven by having to rely only on her acting talent and not her singing and dancing.  Julianne responded by saying, “I thought this was, for so many different reasons, the greatest film that I could have done after those movies because Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors.  I’ve read all of his books, I’ve seen all the movies that have been adapted. So, to be a part of a film like this was huge.  One of the main reasons why I took the film was because of [Director] Lasse [Hallstrom].  I knew that he is the most prestigious director I’ve worked with thus far, and I knew that he was going to push me and help me grow. It was a struggle to get this part because nobody had really seen me do this before.  But, it was well worth the struggle, so I’m happy.”

As I said before, my husband promises that the men out there will enjoy this film too. So ladies, tell your significant other to include this movie on your Valentine’s Day date this weekend.
