I love supporting a great cause, and I will be doing just that, when I join the Verizon FiOS SoCal team, as they will be working with Habitat for Humanity’s A Brush with Kindness program in Sun City. On Saturday, April 27th, Inland Valley’s Habitat for Humanity, A Brush with Kindness is part of Habitat’s broader Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. In Sun City, Habitat works alongside families to provide exterior home repairs for a donation to cover cost of materials. Repairs include, but are not limited to, painting, landscaping, and other minor repairs. This program helps low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability and family circumstances, who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes.

The event will take place in Sun City on Saturday, April 27th from 8am to 2pm. Volunteers 14 and over are encouraged to head over for a day of rewarding work, supporting an amazing organization!

We will be meeting at the Sun City Civic Center, 26850 Sun City Blvd., Sun City 92586. A t-shirt will be provided, wear closed toed shoes, comfortable clothing for manual labor, bring sunscreen

My husband and I are huge classic movie fans. My kiddos have also become huge fans. One of our favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz. The kids can watch it over and over. Turner Classic Movie Channel (TCM) can be found on any of our television sets at any given time.

The Turner Classic Movie Festival is held over four days in the heart of festival. The TCM festival is a place where movie lovers from around the world can gather to experience classic movies as they were meant to be experienced: on the big screen, in some of the world’s most iconic venues, and with the people who made them.

Verizon FiOS has partnered with the TCM festival as part of the SoCal Experience. From now until April 30th, a fleet of uniquely designed, tech-laden FiOS SoCal Experience vehicles will make appearances through April 30 at community events, festivals, and neighborhoods throughout the Palm Springs, Riverside, High Desert areas and through Southern California. The team will cruise on through giving away some pretty amazing prizes (including tickets to the TCM festival), inspiring you to get involved in some pretty great events supporting our communities( I can’t wait to share more about this!) and introducing you to Quantum internet, one of the highest internet speeds and service available! We switched over to FiOS last year and I can’t tell you how much we LOVE it. Our service is almost “speed of light” fast! We have “converted” to FiOS and can’t imagine going back to anything else!

Keep your eyes out for one of these fun vehicles!

Make sure to keep your eyes out for one of the Verizon FiOS Experience Fleet, like the one pictured above. The vehicles are decked out with FiOS Quantum internet and FiOS TV capability. One of most important aspects of the SoCal experience is support for some great local organizations including Habitat for Humanity and Guide Dogs of the Desert. Another fun aspect of this fun campaign is the Conquer your Creativity sweepstakes, which enables you to virtually design graphics for a beach bike, skate or surfboard, and enter those designs in the sweepstakes.

As the dates get closer, I will be sharing more info about the festival and how you can involved! Can’t wait!
