I think if you read this site on a regular basis, you know that I’m a fan of Irvine Park Railroad. One of my favorite times of the year is Halloween and heading to Irvine Park Railroad to pick a pumpkin and participate in the fun activities has now become a tradition for our family.

There are plenty of places for photo opportunities and the pumpkin patch has great size pumpkins at a pretty reasonable price. We usually head there twice during the season.

We love letting the kids pick our pumpkins.

This year’s Pumpkin Patch activities include:  Train rides, hay rides, a haunted house, a hay maze, pony rides, a moon bounce, carnival games, John Deere tractor racers, face painting , picture stands, cookie decorating, and panning of gold.

The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is open daily through October 31st.
Weekdays 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Weekends 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Admission into the Pumpkin Patch is free. Prices for all other activities vary. Head over here for additional  information.

A new activity for this year is panning for gold. We haven’t had an opportunity to head out yet, but hope to do so sometime this month. Yay for Halloween!

I still can’t get over the fact that is summer almost a thing of the past and that fall is almost here (it doesn’t feel that way with this weather). The 7th annual  Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch opens on Saturday, September 22nd and goes until Halloween. The patch is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm on weekends. Pack a picnic and head down soon before the crowds arrive. I recommend heading there early in the day or late in the afternoon to avoid crowds.

It is a must visit in our family and has become a family tradition. I can’t wait to head down there, pick a couple of pumpkins, enjoy all the activities and of course take plenty of pictures.
