Summer at the Disneyland Resort

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the media preview for the Disneyland’s Resort Summer Season. Our family has annual passes and I was excited to learn all about the fun happenings at the Disneyland Resort this summer.

One of the most exciting additions to Disney California Adventure is the park’s newest attraction, The Little Mermaid Ride.

You want my personal opinion? Here it is… I absolutely ADORED it! I’ve had the pleasure of riding twice on this darling attraction with my family, and I can’t wait to head back to the park and ride it again. This new six minute adventure, will easily become a favorite attraction for your family.

The music is fantastic and the ride follows the storyline of the movie. If you are or have a fan of the movie, this is  definitely a  must do attraction.  Another plus of this very fun ride is that the line moves fairly quickly.

Over at Disneyland, the new revamped Star Tours:The Adventures Continue, made its debut last Friday. The redesigned attraction now boasts 54 different versions, almost guaranteeing a different experience with each ride.

I loved the much smoother but yet still super thrilling ride. My four year old son had the opportunity to experience Star Tours for the first time and was absolutely enthralled! He is a budding Star Wars Fan and loved every second of the ride. He’s asked at least twice this week when we can head back to Disneyland to ride Star Tours. The ride  has a Fastpass option, but head there early because passes run out quickly.

Another fun addition to Disneyland is the Soundsational Summer Parade.  The new parade has to be the best one yet. It really makes you want to get up and dance. The festive floats feature some of the most beloved Disney characters along with some “get off your feet” music.

Disneyland Park’s Soundsational Parade runs twice daily.

The Disneyland Hotel is remodeling their hotel room towers, including themed rooms. The pool has been completely remodeled. There are also  retro style water slides in the water play area. I have to tell you that I can’t wait to do a little staycation at the park to try out the new pool with the kiddos. There are also new dining options, including a Tiki themed bar/lounge, Trader Sam’s. I was able to take a sneak peek and can’t wait to return and spend a relaxing evening with the husband there.

The Soundsational Summer at the Disneyland Resort is in full swing. Make sure to take the family for a visit. With so many exciting new attractions, you are guaranteed to have a great time!
