I love going to Big Bear when we have the opportunity, but I have to be honest, I absolutely hate the drive. It makes me nervous, I get motion sickness, and it really makes me nervous when we have to drive in icy conditions. We had the opportunity to head up to Big Bear last week and although it was sunny and warm, the road still made me nervous. My sister has a cabin in Wrightwood and I love heading up there because it is an easy drive. No mountain driving and even when there is snow, it is very easy to maneuver. The drive to Wrightwood is also much much shorter.

If you’re looking for a fun day in the snow and don’t really want to drive too far, or deal with mountain driving, head over to Mt High in Wrightwood. North Pole Tubing Park is is the largest facility for snow tubing in Southern California with up to ten lanes, two moving carpets and custom tubes.
