Locks of Love Week July 25-31 and Supercuts Giveaway

Have your heard of Locks of Love? This wonderful organization provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 with hair loss because of chemotherapy and other medical reasons. Those who have long dreadlocks, you may view here some hair care products to keep them healthy and shiny.

Supercuts has teamed up with the KEARTH 101  and Paul Mitchell for Locks of Love Week, July 25-31. The inspiration behind the program came from JoJo Lopez, a nine-year-old K-EARTH listener who wanted to donate her hair to help provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. She tried to put together a fundraiser at her school but ran into legal issues. So, she asked K-EARTH 101 to help and they teamed up with Supercuts and Paul Mitchell to join the effort!

Every donor who meets the Locks of Love guidelines will receive a FREE haircut at participating Supercuts locations in Southern California, as well as a Paul Mitchell 413 Sculpting Brush (while supplies last).

  1. Locks of Love is such a great way to give to others. I’ve donated my hair in the past and received a certificate. I would love to win the gift card so that my family & I can get a hair cut before school begins. Thank you

  2. I am a huge supporter of Locks of Love and what they stand for…I lost 2 beautiful friends to breast cancer and I know it meant a lot to them knowing organizations like Locks of Love is around. My daughter has fortunately been able to donate her hair. It would be nice to win the card so that my daughter could get her haircut and styled this time.
    Thanks:)

  3. I donated my hair to locks of love about 5 years ago – it was a great experience knowing that something so simple as getting my haircut could help someone in need. My niece has donated her hair a couple of times!! Thank you for helping to spread the word for such a worthy cause. Michele

  4. I’ve donated m y hair a few times in the past but it’s not long enough now and I could really use a cut/ style! 🙂

  5. I donated my hair in February. It was a great experience. I will definitely do it again when it is long enough. I would love the gift card to get my daughter a trim before she starts school.

  6. I am growing my hair out right now for donation! It is a wonderful company with such a great purpose! I could definitely use that gift card for Supercuts because we are very low on money right now as I am the only one that works at home…my hubby stays at hme with the kids:)

  7. I just did this last week! It took me 2 years to grow it out, but I finally had 11 inches to have cut! Mailed it off and love my new short haircut!!!

  8. I think Locks of Love is such a great organization. I did my hair a couple years ago for them, and now growing it out again, so when it is long enough I can do it again.

  9. I have not had a haircut for years it is just started to grow back 3 years ago and it is so expensive to get a haircut and style. So I just put my hair up in a ponytail everyday since I don’t know what to do with it anymore. I hope I get the gift card so that I can get my hair cut finally. It is long overdue.

  10. I just donated over 25″ of my hair in dec & 2 of my girls have donated to locks of love as well. We were hoping to have enough for them to donate again.

  11. Thanks to your post I just went and had 10″ cut off my hair. I’m getting my donation ready now to ship off to Locks of Love. Thank you for sharing the inforamation. About the giveaway it would be great to win.. I know my boys would appreciate their haircut. But, I already feel like I won being able to do something like this. So Thanks!

  13. I really want to donate my hair this year and every time it grows long. I never really thought hair was important to me until I seen my grandmother and family friends and aunt on my fiances side go through chemo. It’s all about rocking the earrings they would say. I’ve never seen more beautiful women in my life. I know that sometimes they did miss their hair and would brush it off with a purchase of cool earrings, but it didnt fool me. Sadly, I lost each and everyone one of those lovley ladies. I know My hair hair grows long and I cut it every year, so why can’t I give it to a child or someone who can’t grow their own? So ladies and gentlemen letting the cutting begin.

  14. I was able to donate a few years ago when my hair was long and it was very rewarding to know I was helping in a small way. My hair isn’t long enough right now so the giftcard would be great!

  15. My family and I donated our hair in 2009, so excited to hear about this opportunity for others to give. I will definitely be checking out the website to see about donating again. Thanks.
