I love October. The air is crisp, and Halloween decorations are everywhere! My kiddos are going to be heading out for a fun night of trick-or-treating, and I’m going to have a sweet treat brewing for them when they return. I’m making them homemade pumpkin spice steamers, or leche con canela y calabaza. Yum!
This recipe is super easy to make, and I’m pretty sure you have everything that is needed at home.

All you need to make is milk, sugar, cinnamon sticks, a dash of pumpkin spice, a teaspoon of condensed milk, and a teenie bit of pumpkin, if you would like. I also made a batch without the pumpkin. This coupon for $1 off two gallons of milk, will make it even better!
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk
- 4 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice
- 1 dash of pumpkin
Add milk, condensed milk, pumpkin, and cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Cook on low for about 5 minutes. Add sugar, and pumpkin spice until it dissolves. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
