Free Admission to The Skirball Cultural Center Exhibits

I’m always on the lookout for free days to anything that sounds remotely interesting and fun.I recently stumbled upon a great free day to the amazing Skirball Cultural Center. The Skirball Cultural Center offers free admission to their exhibits every Thursday. Noah’s Ark is a Skirball Permanent Exhibit that is geared towards families and children of all ages. Although admission is free on Thursdays, Timed entry is required for all visitors, including Skirball Members to the Noah’s Ark Exhibit. I’m really looking forward to taking my children to the exhibit and while I’m there sneaking a peek at The Skirball’s Bob Dylan exhibit. Disney’s California Adventure Toy Story Mania

Opening June 17, 2008 will be the newest attraction at the Disneyland resort, Toy Story Mania. I can’t wait to be able to ride this new ride. I’m going to try to score a preview pass to the ride to be able to tell you all about it. I love Toy Story and so do my kids. The ride looks similar to Buzz Lightyear with a 3D Edge. This is the description from California Adventure’s official site

Beginning June 17, 2008, step right up and compete in an interactive “Toy Story” adventure like no other. It’s Toy Story Mania!— a brand new attraction inspired by Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story” films.

Grab some 3-D glasses, board your ride vehicle and zip off into a 4-D world of exciting, midway-style games.

Highlights include the following:

  • Play games hosted by favorite Characters including Woody, Buzz, Rex and Hamm!
  • Use your spring-action shooter to launch darts at balloons, rings at aliens, eggs at barnyard targets and more!
  • Certain targets trigger surprise reactions and special effects.
  • Compete for the high score.
  • It’s never the same experience twice.

I can’t wait to ride it and tell you all about it, but for now mark your calendars for the big day!!
