Summer Fun at the Brea Mall

Fun at the Disney Store

Fun at the Disney Store

I think I’ve shared before that I love the Brea Mall. I was given a fun challenge to see how much fun we could have at the mall for $50 bucks this summer! Boy did we have a great time. First off we stopped off and grabbed some Jamba Juice. Yummo! It is our go to summer treat! We also hit the Food Court and picked up some Panda Express. We sat by and people watched. It was a total blast! Plus I love love how cool it is inside the mall. Our AC has not been blasting as cool as I would like it to be, and it’s nice to be able to enjoy some cool air on a hot Summer day.

We then headed to the Disney Store and I gave the kiddos a budget of $10 each. We could have spent hours there. They had a blast picking their own toy and it was so fun to see them figure out what they could afford and what they couldn’t. We finished off our day by playing down near the center court fountain. It is my son’s favorite spot in the Brea Mall. He absolutely loves people watching and dipping his hands in the water. We had a great afternoon filled with fun people watching, new Disney Toys, Yummie refreshing drinks, and of course a delish lunch. What would you do with $50. Do you head to the mall in the summer?

Checking out our shoes

We love the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We are members and try to visit whenever we have an opportunity. This past week we had time and decided to head down South and experience the San Diego Zoo Safari nights and the all new Lemur Walk Exhibit. We had a great time, and had one of the most unique experiences as the Lemurs were as close up and person as an animal can be. It was amazing!

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is open until 7pm during Summer. I love heading there late in the afternoon because the animals are very interactive and it is cooler. I also love that the crowds have dwindled. On our last visit, it almost seemed like we had the park to ourselves. It was nice to not be in a crowded environment and enjoy a nice and cool evening.

The Lemur Exhibit is like no other!

The Lemur Walk is the Safari Park’s newest exhibit and it definitely lives up to its expectations. You can walk up to on a pathway through the Lemurs habitat and watch the cute animals come right up to you. I loved being able to see how they interacted and how much fun they had playing with all of our shoes.

The Lemur walk is open only to guests 5 and older. You are not allowed to touch the animals, but they can come up to you and interact with you. It is definitely an unique experience.
