Goat Hill Junction Railroad- Costa Mesa-Free Train Rides

I received a tip about another free great train ride for the little ones. The Orange County Model Engineers club offer free rides to the public on the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month from 10 am until 3:30pm. . The club has a variety of engines and riding cars. Trains on public ride days are made up of 5 to 6 bench cars that seat 5 to 6 adults and children.

The train rides are held at
Fairview Park
2625 Placentia Ave
Costa Mesa, CA

My son is absolutely nuts about trains and railroads and I can’t wait to go next Saturday. Hope to see you there!!

Free Train Rides- Southern California Live Steamers

While we were visiting San Pedro a couple of weeks ago one of the conductors on the Red Cars suggested that since my kiddos are train enthusiasts I should check out the Southern California Live Steamers. What is the Southern California Live Steamers? It’s a club of train connoisseurs whose mission is to educate the public about rail road history and promote interest in the hobby. They offer free train rides to the public on the first Sunday of the month from 11:30 am to 3:30pm.

The rides are offered at Wilson Park in Torrance.
