Can you believe the weekend is almost here? If you are looking for something fun to do with the entire family, you don’t want to miss this.

Action Sports Weekend is coming to Downtown Disney from Friday, July 23 to Sunday, July 25 featuring appearances and performances by some of the world’s top skate and BMX athletes. If you have a skateboarer in your family, this is one event, you will not want to miss! Why? Because Tony Hawk and friends will be putting on quite a show!

Headlining the weekend’s events will be ‘Quiksilver Presents The Tony Hawk Skate Jam,’ a skateboarding exhibition by Tony and friends on Saturday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. These top skateboarders will hold a ‘jam’ format skateboarding and BMX exhibition on a giant vert ramp located directly in the middle of the Downtown Disney District main plaza. Some of the the featured skaters  include Tony Hawk, along with Lincoln Ueda, Josh Stafford, Jesse Fritsch, Kevin Staab and Lyn-Z Adams.

Saturday morning, guests may also participate in a “Spin the Wheel” contest at the Downtown Disney Quiksilver store, where they have a chance to win a private meet-and-greet with Tony Hawk. Activities taking place throughout the weekend include BMX demos, live musical entertainment, specialty merchandise, live art demonstrations, street team performances and games.
