4th Grade California History Education Program Family Day at Irvine Park Railroad

If you have a kiddo in the 4th grade, homeschool or just plain want to learn about California History this is one event you won’t want to miss.

4th Grade California History Education Program Family Day on Saturday, February 12th — Families can take a trip back in time at Irvine Park Railroad’s 2011 Fourth Grade California History Education Program family day. This fun program – created by teachers – is a hands-on learning experience and meets the State of California curriculum requirements for fourth grade history/social science. During the narrated train ride, passengers will learn about the history of the continental railroad and the State of California. Other stations include an authentic mine shaft, miner’s camp, water wheel that runs a replica sawmill and a historic old west building complete with a jail cell and saloon.
