Are your little ones Dinosaur Train Fans? If they are, then you definitely have to enter this giveaway. To help celebrate National Train Day, The Jim Henson Company and PBS So Cal will host an afternoon of fun activities at the Los Angeles Live Steamers.

Dinosaur Train is celebrating America’s love of trains with special programming and activities throughout the month of May.  To kick off, the award-winning and critically acclaimed animated preschool series from The Jim Henson Company, will debut an all new episode on May 6 on PBS KIDS ® (please check local listings). And, in honor of National Train Day, The Jim Henson Company and PBS SoCal will host a celebration with partners, sponsors, supporters and media friends of the critically-acclaimed animated series at the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:30pm.

Some of the highlights of this special event are

  • Guests at the “Dinosaur Train” celebration will be treated to rides on model trains that travel over two miles of track. They’ll also meet the museum’s train enthusiasts who will be on hand to answer questions and provide plenty of train facts.
  • Guests will also be able to get their picture taken with “Buddy,” the dinosaur and participate in a special singalong with Craig Bartlett, creator of “Dinosaur Train.” 
  • Several “Dinosaur Train” brand partners will also be participating in the event.  At the Random House Reading Corner, Lisa Henson, CEO of The Jim Henson Company, and Joe Purdy, the series story editor, and known to fans as Mr. Disclaimer, will read one of the many “Dinosaur Train” books published by Random House;
  • The MEGABrands Play Corner will feature the all-new construction toy sets based on “Dinosaur Train.”
  •  There will also be a Junior Conductor Craft Area with activity sheets, coloring pages and many more  activities for the kiddos.

 This is  invite only event  for the media and invited guests and guess what? I have a family four pack of tickets to the event to giveaway!

    My son loves Dinosaur train! I’m always looking for special unique things to do with him. I spend a lot of time at work and at school to better myself and support him. He watches these cartoons almost every day and even has the dinosaurs toy collection which he plays with all the time =)(=

    My 3-year-old LOVES Dinosaur Train and trains in general, so this event would be such a fun treat for him. Also, his dad works crazy long hours and usually only sees him on weekends (and that’s if he’s not working), and he’ll be traveling for the following 2 weekends after this, so being able to go to this as a family would be extra special.

    Both of my kids watch Dinosaur Train. My 7 year old son has been a train enthusiast since he was 18 months old. He is now an artist and very into the movie making process, developing sets, drawing cartoons, etc. He would love this experience. My 3 year old daughter is a fan of the show and would love to see things up close and personal. How cool!

    My daughter is 6 years old absolutely LOVES “Dinosaur Train”. She loves EVERYTHING dinosaur. She has already chosen her career path. That’s right she wants to be a paleontologist. She has learned several facts from Scott Sampson, the shows paleontologist. When she was 3 she was infatuated with trains. So when we discovered this show it was a marriage of both her passions. We recentally went to “A Day Out With Thomas” for our 3 year old daughter (who happens to like trains also) and Khennedi, the future paleontologist and show lover, asked if they could turn Thomas into Dinosaur Train for next year. LOL!! If u want to see a girl SUPER EXCITED to attend this event, Khennedi would be the one. Thank you. =}

    My kids LOOOOOOVE the dinosaur train….and the amount of info they have learned from this show is absolutely amazing. I love how the characters are kind to one another and when they have a problem, they use the type of skills I would want my children to use to solve them! Strangely, so rare with kids’ tv.

    My 6 yr old daughter Vanissa loves Dinosaur Train! She would love the opportunity for this experience. She love trains, train rides and dinosaurs. Yes, I know it’s usually a boy thing, but it’s great that my girl enjoys a diverse interest in many things.     My nephew is a huge fan of the show Dinosaur Train. He and I watch it all the time together. He even has the Dinosaur Train toys and we got those at Target. It’s a great show that teaches children about dinosaurs and great lessons. Since my nephew has speech problems it’s a great show that allows him to follow along with and perfect his English. I hope that he gets the opportunity to attend the event. Thank You!

    I have 2 boys, two years apart. Dinosaur Train is the one program that brings both of them together as my older son loves dinosaurs and my younger one loves trains! There is never any fighting over Dinosaur Train! I also really like the fact that Jim Henson is entertaining my kids as he did over 30 years ago for me. Many thanks to him and his family.
