Did you know that May 6th is National Public Gardens Day? National Public Garden Day is celebrated the first Friday before Mother’s Day. This is the first year I heard of it, but I’m already in love with the concept and will remember to mark my calendar each year!

The National Public Gardens Day is a day of awareness where the public is invited to visit and learn all about the beauty and the role that public gardens play in the community.

Better Homes and Gardens is offering a free voucher for FREE admission to the local gardens in the area including Descanso Gardens and Rancho Santa Ana. I wish that the Huntington Library/Gardens or the LA Arboretum voucher’s weren’t all taken  or I would finally take my mom to either one. She has been wanting to visit for some time now and I can’t wait to take her.
