I love holiday weekends because that means a short work week! Yay! Here is one event that will be happening next weekend that you must calendar in.
The Dana Point Boat Show & Green Expo will take place June 9th to June 12th. New and Used Boats and Products will be on display both in and out of the water plus a green expo with educational presentations centered on green topics.
The Dana Point Boat Show & Green Expo will have many family activities and also activities geared for the kiddos. Here is a list of some of the activities.
- Ocean Institute’s Wyland Mobile Learning Lab – All 4 days
- Ocean In Motion Van with Sea Creatures tank – All 4 days
- Arts & Crafts station – All 4 days
- Free Duffy Boat Rental – 30 minutes in the Harbor – All 4 days
- Free Stand Up Paddle Board Demos – All 4 days
- Children’s concert on Saturday at 1pm

Admission is $12 for regular admission with Children under 12 free with paying adult…

I would love to spend a day down on the water with my family. As a child my grandparents lived on a boat, where I rememeber so GREAT family memoires. I would love for my kids to be able to spend some time out on the water and be able to see what it is like to be out on a boat. I know my boys would love it! I hope to win 🙂

I have a 6 year old daughter that is completely nuts for anything to do with the ocean. This past March, for her birthday, she wanted a Sea Lion Party. I crafted a 3-D cake that looked like a sea lion, used earth friendly plates and utensils and went to the newly refurbished Glen-Alla park (in Marina Del Rey) that has an ocean animal theme. The best part (and the part I am most proud of), she asked all of her friends to not buy her any gifts, instead she asked them to buy much needed supplies for the Marine Mammal Care Center of San Pedro (http://www.marinemammalcare.org/). She has such a passion for ocean animals that she gave up her birthday presents in order to help them… at 6 years old!
The Dana Point boat excursion would be something that she would love and allow her to get a little closer to the ocean’s nature!
