We have a pretty ambitious list of places we want to visit this summer and the Adventure Playground in Huntington Beach is at the top of our list. Have you heard of Adventure Playground?
This very cool playground is designed for kiddos 6-12 years old. Kids can raft on a small pond, navigate a rope bridge, use a cable slide, go down a mudslide, and build forts. It is a place to get very muddy and have good old fashioned fun playing around.
The kiddos must wear tennis shoes and I would think be in clothes that you don’t mind getting stained or really messy. Adventure Playground is open from Mid June to Mid August and is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
There is a small fee required(take a few dollars) and parents should keep an eye on their kiddos.

This is one of my kids favorite things to do. It is one thing that is on our must do list every time we visit Orange County.
We went last week and had a great time. I will give this tip, Adventure Playground is tucked in a corner, to the right of the library and is a little hard to find.
Park at the library and walk to the right, towards a park looking area. You will see a pathway that leads up a hill and a sign that says “Advventure Playground”. Walk that way and you will find it over the hill.
We had a great time and I hope you do too!
do kids have to be 6-12 or is that a recommended age. i have a 6 and a 4yr old and wonder if they can both go.
@siobhan…. I believe they are supposed to be 5.. but there were children much younger there.
Can children wear water shoes instead of tennis shoes?
Hi Tawny, I believe they have to wear tennis shoes. Have fun!
Thanks for this, this is a new one for me. I’m out in Temecula but have an aunt in HB, so this is a good reason for a visit!
