Our family loves musical theater and to say that we were beyond excited to watch Mary Poppins at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts this Friday is putting it mildly! I have been waiting for a very long time to watch the live stage show production and it was well worth the wait!
Mary Poppins is a fantastic show. My kiddos were glued to their seats and that is sometimes a challenge with a 4 year old little boy. If you love this classic musical, I can almost guarantee that you will love the musical more. It is that good!!! The music is fantastic and the show is a visual delight. I found myself not wanting the show to end. In fact I loved it so much I plan on catching it at least once more while it is town. Mary Poppins is sure to delight both young and old!

This past week, Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts offered student rush tickets. That means $20 per ticket, 2 per ID, 1 hour before and Cash only. If you have a child that is a student, which pretty much is any child 4 or above you can purchase a ticket for them and yourself without a student id. They are doing it on a week to week basis, so make sure to like the Performing Arts Center on Facebook and stay tuned for Student Rush updates. As a family, Mary Poppins is one of our favorite movies to watch. I took the kids to see performance at the Ahmanson Theatre in L.A. last year and they really enjoyed themselves. The performance is based on the book by P.L. Travers, so there are some parts in the show that are different then the movie, but it is definitely still worth seeing.
