Mary Poppins is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

I don't know why my daughter made a face like she is about to cry! LOL!

Our family loves musical theater and to say that we were beyond excited to watch Mary Poppins at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts this Friday is putting it mildly!  I have been waiting for a very long time to watch the live stage show production and it was well worth the wait!

Mary Poppins is a fantastic show. My kiddos were glued to their seats and that is sometimes a challenge with a 4 year old little boy. If you love this classic musical, I can almost  guarantee that you will love the musical more. It is that good!!! The music is fantastic and the show is a visual delight. I found myself not wanting the show to end. In fact I loved it so much I plan on catching it at least once more while it is town. Mary Poppins is sure to delight both young and old!

Mary Poppins will be at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts until August 7th. You can purchase tickets by heading here.

This past week, Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts offered student rush tickets. That means  $20 per ticket, 2 per ID, 1 hour before and Cash only. If you have a child that is a student, which pretty much is any child 4 or above you can purchase a ticket for them and yourself without a student id.  They are doing it on a week to week basis, so make sure to like the Performing Arts Center on Facebook and stay tuned for Student Rush updates. I will also make sure to post it on the Facebook fan page.

Our Fun and Adventurous Summer

Some of my most favorite childhood memories came from summer. I remember counting down the days until summer vacation. My sisters and I literally played from the moment we woke up until my mom dragged us home when it was dark. Growing up in the late 70’s and early 80’s meant freedom and boy did we take advantage of it. We would ride around in our bikes throughout the city discovering new places and eating as many popsicles as we could. Times are much different now and unfortunately running around on bicycles throughout town is probably not the safest idea. However, I want my kiddos to have many fantastic summers discovering new places and making funtastic memories!

Facebook Headquarters

School is out and my soon to be first grader is loving every minute of her summer break. This year we plan on visiting all of the local zoos, aquariums in the area and plan on learning as much as we can with hands on experiences. We also plan on trying out some easy hikes and are hoping to camp out for the first time at the beach! We were able to kick off summer with a fun trip to San Francisco and the Central Coast and plan on taking a few more fun trips. We  plan on taking a trip to explore Zion National Park in Utah and take the kiddos fishing for the first time. They have been begging forever and a day to go fishing; I can’t wait to make their little dream come true.

We have also been trying to visit a new place a week and my hope is that my kiddos are making many fun memories. We are also trying to sneak in a beach trip at least once a week.   We are also sneaking in time at the pool, sprinkler and slip and slide playtime and of course eating as many popsicles as we can to cool off.

What are you doing this summer with the kiddos?
I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Are you Road Trip Ready? $50 Gas Card Giveaway

Summer is here and you know that means plenty of fun road trips! We prepare our playlist, coolers, luggage, take the car to be serviced but I’m pretty sure not many of us take the time to see what our  insurance covers in case of a mishap. The folks over at the National Association of Insurance Comissioners has five tips that will help you prepare to hit the road this summer.

1.       Confirm your car insurance is active and premiums are up-to-date. Have a current copy of your insurance card in the car to avoid dui conviction consequences.

2.       Check to see if your policy includes roadside assistance. You can be covered for towing, fuel delivery, lockout service, jump-starts and more. If you get involved in a car accident, make sure to hire a lawyer for car accidents to guide you through the legal process.

3.       If renting a car, check if your current policy includes coverage, and verify limitations with your agent. Some credit cards offer rental coverage, so check with your credit card company to determine if that is an option.

4.       If rental car coverage is not included in your policy, consider adding an insurance rider for a small fee or purchasing coverage from the rental car company, such as Rockstarz rental. Make sure you don’t duplicate benefits from your existing auto, health or home insurance policy. If you’re looking for a new car insurance company, check out BestCarInsuranceWSA.COM .

5.       Verify your homeowners or renters insurance covers the theft of personal items from a car, especially if you are planning to carry expensive items in your car such as golf clubs, video or digital cameras or laptops. Make sure also that you have evansville injury attorneys contact information in hand just in case you get involved in a car accident.
