“Hop” Review and Giveaway

The loot! I wish I could win this. That's one fun easter basket!

Update: Contest is now closed. The winner of the giveaway is Sara Muhammad. Thank you all for entering.
Easter is right around the corner and that means my kiddos will be watching one of their favorite spring time flicks, Hop!  This fun family flick is coming to Blu-Ray/DVD on Friday, March 23rd in a new combo set.
This fun family film is all about the Easter Bunny and is a great movie this time of year. The movie is all about a newly bestowed Easter Bunny, who is not quite ready to take over this tradition and the responsibilities. He goes on an adventure to find himself and well the rest, you will have to see for yourselves. We enjoyed watching it as a family and I think your family will too!
The new set features a digital copy along with bonus features including a new short film, Phil’s Dance Party —An all-new mini-movie starring fan-favorite chicks Phil and Carlos. Phil eats so much candy that he crashes, leaving Carlos to perform a solo of the big dance finale…the Merengue. The set also includes games, out takes and much more.

Our favorite Easter tradition is coloring eggs and going on local egg hunts around town! Love hearing the kids squeal in delight at all their treasures when they open the Easter eggs!

  2. Christine says:

After watching our daughters receive their Easter baskets we all dress up in our Sunday best and attend Mass at our local church then we go out to brunch with the whole family– with grandparents, aunt and uncle.
It’s such a fun and joyful day!!:)

I’m confused ? – “This fun family flick is coming to Blu-Ray/DVD on Friday, September 23 in a new combo set.” – September ?

  4. Deborah K says:

You have a little typo in the date of the dvd release. It should be March 23rd not September. 🙂

My favorite tradition is planting jelly beans in the backyard. The kids LOVE watching them sprout into candy filled eggs.

    Hoppy Easter everyone!

Thanks for letting me know 🙂 I just changed it. I hate when that happens.I was thinking about my son starting Kinder this September and I think it was a slip on the date. Sorry about that!

My favorite Easter tradition as a child was a plastic egg hunt in our house. It was so exciting waking up and trying to find all the eggs that were left for us. I am looking forward to continuing this tradition with my 2 year old son. 🙂

Finding Eggs in my grandma’s backyard! Although now I am helping my 2.5 year old daughter…but its still fun 🙂

  8. Richelle Rosas says:

We dye Easter eggs every year, atleast 4 dozen. Always taking a dozen over to great grandma so she feels special too. She used to dye them with us but isn’t healthy enough to now. We also have a huge Easter egg hunt on 2 acres of Orange grove land at my aunts. We have had these traditions as long as I can remember and now my daughter, niece and nephew have them as tradition too. 🙂

My grandma and I used to make these little wagons and lollipops out of candy every year. They had bunnies and duckies on them. I can’t wait to make them with my kids this year!

My fravorite Easter tradition is going to the park every Easter with all of our extended family. We have a pot luck and a big egg hunt for all the kids. I love watching my 2.5 year old during the egg hunt she picks up all of the eggs and shakes them one by one to make sure that they are not empty before putting them in her basket it is so funny. I can’t wait to see my son during his first hunt this year.

  15. Amanda says:

We dress our four boys up all matchy for church and take lots of pictures. But maybe that’s a tradition they wouldn’t like to have continue. They do love the egg hunts!

  16. Melissa says:

Our family tradition that we do every year is my husband walks my kiddos to get donuts while I hide their easter baskets and goodies. When they come home we eat the donuts and then the kids hunt for their easter goodies.

  17. Emily says:

The Easter egg hunt with my girls is my favorite tradition. They get so excited and run everywhere hunting for eggs. Even the dog tries to get in on the fun.

  18. Amanda G. says:

We just love getting all dressed up to go to church. This is followed by our annual Easter Egg hunt. We top it all off with a good ole family dinner! I just love Easter and the movie Hop. I sure hope we get picked!!

Egg hunt, egg coloring, and baking. I have 2 teens and 2 little guys. My older kids still participate. Not because they want to but so there brother keep believing. They help there brother with decorating, and cookie cutting. I love that they want to be involved for there brothers.

  20. Georgia Denkers says:

I think the Easter Egg hunt os still the favorite here at our house. We love watching the older ones try and find the difficult ones and the little ones finding one or two eggs and eating the contents before they are motivated to find another.

  21. Tricia says:

Growing up, my favorite tradition was going to Mass and spending the day with my entire (large) family. Now that I live in Cali and have a family of my own, our Easter tradition is a huge family reunion the day before Easter with all kinds of games and a visit to the petting zoo. Then we have our own small family traditional Easter on Sunday! The best of both worlds 😀

  22. Margaret says:

The traditional Easter Egg Hunt! My daughters still go crazy searching for Eggs! They are so happy we try to go to as many are in our area!
And candyyyyy who can’t eat candy on Easter

  23. fenella says:

Now my kids are 4, just hiding the eggs is the best tradition, we loved doing it as kids, so it’s nice to do it with my parents and sisters.

  24. Elizabeth says:

My husband will mow the lawn the day before Easter and with the cut grass the kids make a circle in the backyard and decorate it with whatever they can find in the yard (flowers). Then the Easter bunny comes the next day and hides eggs for the kids to find in the backyard and places the Easter baskets in the middle of the decorated grass circle with treats. The kids love it and look forward to it every year 🙂

Easter is definitely my favorite holiday.. Growing up Greek Orthodox, we have many, many traditions. I love the beautiful midnight service, the yummy roasted lamb on the spit on Easter day that we make every year, and the cracking of the red Easter eggs. The cracking of the eggs is a Greek easter tradition in which someone holds their egg and the other person tries to crack the other persons. Who ever ends up with an uncracked egg is said to have good luck for the rest of the year. Oh, and can’t forget the tradition of making Greek Easter cookies at my moms with my kids.

My family always made lots of colored eggs and had Easter morning breakfast together. We would have a challange to see who had picked the toughest egg by cracking them atop each other to see who beat the rest to claim a prize we made for them.
