OC Tastefest Giveaway

Are you a foodie? Do you enjoy trying seasonal menu items and all that local restaurants have to offer? If you do, then you won’t want to miss OC Tastefest, Orange County’s newest food and wine festival. The inaugural food, wine and entertainment festival will take place on Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th.
There are over 25 participating restaurants in the festival including, Cucina Alessa, Port Restaurant & Bar, Marrakesh, Salt Creek Grille, Ten Asian Bistro, Wahoo’s Fish Taco, Slater’s 50/50 and many more. All restaurants will serve three different items that will be priced between $1 and $6 dollars each. There will be a celebrity chef challenge with stars from Food Network’s Private Chefs of Beverly Hills, Bravo’s Top Chef and the Real Housewives of OC making appearances. The two day celebration leads up to the OC Marathon on May 6th.
The OC Tastefest will take place on
Friday, May 4th from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and
Saturday, May 5th from 1:00pm to 10:00pm
at the OC Fair and Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa
OC Tastefest advance admission is $12 for a one day ticket. General admission at the event will be $20 per day. Each paid general admission ticket includes 10 Tastefest coupons. Tastefest Coupons, each valued at .50¢ are used to purchase food from participating restaurants. Menu items are valued at 2 – 12 taste coupons. A General Admission ticket includes 10 Taste Coupons, and the VIP Ticket includes 30 Taste Coupons. Additional taste coupons can be purchased: 20 taste coupons for $10 or 40 coupons for $20. There will be also be VIP admission tickets available for purchase. These tickets include VIP parking, VIP entrance and access to the VIP Tentfest with complimentary cocktails, wine and VIP seating. I really need a day out more then anything, my husband is deployed to Afghanistan, not only that I packed up our house and moved from Washington to California so we can spend some quality time with my parents. I would love to take my mom, being a military family I never get to spend much time with my parents, it would be extra special. Thank you!
After a long week of nursing school and endless homework, I need a break. I’m looking forward to trying Brasserie Pascal’s food.

Well, my sister in law and I were wanting to go to lunch to celebrate the fact that our babies (toddlers, now) are finally old enough that they can be left alone with their dads, and don’t need to be nursed anymore! We have been planning this for months…we are calling it our “weaning celebration”! My sister- in – law is a foodie of the first order, and I am not far behind! This would be the ultimate way to celebrate this milestone as Mommies!! We would have the best time, and would be oh-so-grateful to win this!
Oh, and I haven’t had Salt Creek Grille for ages! That sounds divine!
Raising 3 boys (1 with special needs), homeschooling, and working part-time has me burned out! I’d love a break and I’d especially love eating food that is a bit more sophisticated than grilled cheese sandwiches and “pasta with red sauce.”
This foodie would defitnitely enjoy a night out food tasting! Why? Why not? Am not on a diet! I would try Brasserie Pascal and K’ya then Ten Bistro then Salt Creek Grille…I will leave the marathon running to others 🙂

It has been a rough month and the hubby and I could use a little time out together just us 2! And its also my bday! 🙂 I would love to taste everything but salt creek grill especially!
I am desperatley in need of a night out! I have three kids, a 3 month old, 2 year old and 10 year old and havent gotten a night out since my youngest was born three months ago. It would make a perfect date night for my hubby n I since we live in HB we wouldnt be too far from home so my MIL could watch the kids for us for a few hours while we get some much needed quality time. I am mst looking forward to trying some samples from Slater’s 50/50 since I’ve heard many good things about it.
My husband and I both work full time, so between stretching each paycheck, lots of household chores, and two kids to care for and spend time with, we find it difficult to find time for ourselves. I would love to spend a date night with my incredible man doing something different than the usual dinner & a movie. This would be the perfect opportunity to broaden our horizons and do something outside of the box and try some differently amazing food. What restaurant would I be most excited to try? Well… All of them! We don’t get very many opportunities to get out and try very many new things. This would be perfect for us!

hi. i am entering to win this giveaway for me and my husband. we moved to OC 3 months ago, we have a toddler and a newborn in the house, and we have not been out in over a year! his birthday (today) and our 4 year wedding anniversary (3 days ago) have come and gone w/o a celebration 🙁
2 weeks ago, my mother in law had a gall bladder attack and had emergency surgery so him and I wore the parent hat, the spouse hat, AND the nurse hat. i am scheduled to have a post pregnancy medical condition surgery at the end of may so my husband and I would absolutely love an evening out to sample new flavors in our new city. because we are new here, at this point, we are not going to be picky as to which restaurant we want to try the most. it’s all of them 🙂

I would love to win and take my hubby on a well deserved date night. I so want to return the love he gave to me. While I was gone visiting my family for a week with my children he had the entire inside of my house painted and a new floor put in my kitchen. We actually rent our home, but he knew how unhappy I was with the horrible walls that he surprised me with doing this. How he got it done I have no idea, he moved everything by himself to get ready for the painters. Nothing looked like it had even been moved. I am still blown away at how he got it all done in the week I was gone. I didn’t want to have it done because I was told how much work it was going to be. He loves me and wants me to be happy. I would love to surprise him with a wonderful date night doing something that he would totally love and appreciate. He is a total foodie. Loves going to new restaurants and trying new foods. That is his thing. There are to many restaurants listed to choose which would be my first to try. Maro Wood Grill looks good, I know Antonellos is good. Oh, he loves Wings so Wing Stop would be great too! Good Luck to all.

I am most excited about 118 degrees as I hear the food is wonderful, but more importantly I am more excited about surprising my husband with a night out as he works full-time and goes to school…he so deserves some time out!
