Our dad blogger Robert had the opportunity to watch a preview of Finding Nemo 3D and shares all about it.

One of my 5 year old daughters favorite movies has always been “Finding Nemo”.  When I heard that Disney-Pixar was introducing it in a 3D format, I just couldn’t wait to take her to see it.

My daughter was primarily interested in seeing her favorite characters from the original movie such as Marlin, Dory, and of course Nemo.  I was anxious to see how well the movie would translate to 3D. After viewing the 3D version of the movie I can safely say that if your family liked the original version of the movie, then they will love it in 3D.  The films director, Andrew Stanton said “I can’t imagine a movie better suited to 3D”.  When discussing the added dimension to the movie Stanton said “it took my breath away… It makes the scarier moments scarier…. It makes the beautiful moments more beautiful.”

With a movie this entertaining,  its easy to see why the original 2003 edition of the movie won that years Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was nominated for 3 additional Academy Awards.

Be sure to catch the theatrical release when it opens in Sept 14th, as it will only be in theaters for a limited run.
