Strawberry Shortcake with Doodlebops Live! at Club Nokia and Giveaway

When I was in elementary school, back in the 80’s, I was CRAZY about Strawberry Shortcake. I remember my mom searching all over LA trying to find me “la fresita” as she liked to call her. My sister and I were obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin. You can imagine how thrilled I am to discover that my own daughter has fallen in love with the Strawberry Shortcake Gang.

An an all-new musical production starring Strawberry Shortcake is coming to town! In this live theatrical production by Koba Entertainment, Strawberry Shortcake, and her best buds,  Orange Blossom, Lemon Meringue, Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Torte, Plum Pudding and Cherry Jam, prove that little girls can do berry big things!

The show is coming to Club Nokia on Saturday, February 2nd at 4pm. You can purchase tickets here or better yet, win a family four pack! I’m giving away a four pack of tickets to one very lucky reader. All you have to do is leave a comment sharing your favorite Strawberry Shortcake character. That’s it! You can earn extra entries by following me on twitter, liking me on facebook or instagram. Giveaway ends on January 18th at 11:59pm. Good luck!

Knott’s Berry Farm Canned Food Drive and Fire/Police Recognition Days

I love a great deal, especially when it involves doing something good for the community. Knott’s Berry Farm is doing just that! From now until January 31st, Knott’s is hosting a canned food drive and a Fire/Police Recognition Month.

Knott’s Berry Farm  has partnered with the Orange County Food Bank to help the community. To adequately serve the growing list of those in need, Knott’s Berry Farm is asking every guest to donate 2 or more cans at the park January 7-31 and in return will offer a Regular adult admission for the price of $28.99 and Junior (ages 3-11)/Senior (62+) for just $25.99. This special discount offer saves $31 off of the Regular admission which is $59.99 for adults (over age 11).

Now through January 31, 2013, Knott’s will honor all those who protect life and property with Fire and Police Recognition Days. FREE admission to the park will be offered to all active fire and police personnel and one guest. Plus up  to six additional tickets can be purchased for only $19 each.

A friend just visited the park early this week and said she had a great time. The rides had little or no waits and the weather is perfect for trekking around. For additional info head here.

Thanks Angie for sharing the info!

Wordless Wednesday: Sledding at Grandpa’s

Sledding at Grandpa's is always fun!

The kids have had quite an exciting winter break. It’s three weeks long and the first two weeks the kids have had a blast. Last week, they rode up to Big Bear Lake to Grandpa’s cabin. It’s always fun at Grandpa’s. There is snow, snow and more snow!
