Disclosure:  This post is part of the Healthy Essentials 2014 program by Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies and The Motherhood, who sent me a box of products and compensated me for my time. Opinions, experiences and photos shared here are all my own, and I hope you enjoy them.

With two very active kiddos, I try to always stay on top of our medicine cabinet. It is really important to always have  our family’s healthy essentials at hand. My kids are very active and there are always cuts, scrapes, and you name it. It is essential that we keep our medicine cabinet and our health products fully stocked and rotated.

Johnson and Johnson has developed a program to help parents keep those essentials stocked at home. Healthy Essentials offers parents tips and coupons for your favorite products. You can save $45 by heading over to www.Healthyessentials.com and signing up for printable coupons and offers.

Knott’s Berry Farm Canned Food Drive and Fire/Police Recognition Days

Knott's Berry Farm

We love a great deal, especially when it involves doing something good for the community. Knott’s Berry Farm is doing just that! From now until January 31st, Knott’s is hosting a canned food drive, and a Fire/Police Recognition Month.

Knott’s Berry Farm  has partnered with the Orange County Food Bank to help the community. To adequately serve the growing list of those in need, Knott’s Berry Farm is asking every guest to donate 2 or more cans at the park January 7-31 and in return will offer a Regular adult admission for $31. This is half the price of regular admission!!

Now through January 31, 2014 , Knott’s will honor all those who protect life and property with Fire and Police Recognition Days. FREE admission to the park will be offered to all active fire and police personnel and one guest. Plus up  to six additional tickets can be purchased for only $22 each.

A friend just visited the park early this week and said she had a great time. The rides had little or no waits and the weather is perfect for trekking around. Knott’s has never looked better and who isn’t in the mood for some funnel cake?  For additional info head here.

Toma Leche Recipes!

French Toast Bake.. Yum!!!

French Toast Bake.. Yum!!!

Disclosure: This is part of a sponsored campaign with the California Milk Processor Board and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

I love new recipes and it’s one of the reasons  why I love the Toma Leche Facebook page. The Toma Leche Facebook page has dozens of recipes with a Latin Flair. You can find recipes for drinks, desserts, main dishes and more.

Milk/Leche is one of the main ingredients I use in my recipes, especially when I bake. Here is one of my favorite Milk based recipes. Enjoy and make sure to check out the Toma Leche Facebook page and get your $1 off coupon!!!

Baked French Toast Casserole – Perfect for weekend mornings!!!

  • 1 loaf of Texas Bread(I call it French Toast Bread) or  Raisin Bread (I sometimes use the Sun-Maid Raisin Bread)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 8 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt

You will need a 9×13 baking dish and a mixing bowl

  1. In a bowl combine sugar and melted butter and then pour at the bottom of the baking dish
  2. Arrange slices of bread on the baking dish
  3. Mix the rest of ingredients of bowl and pour over slices of bread
  4. Cover with plastic wrap, place in refrigerator and let it soak overnight
  5. In the morning take the casserole out, place on counter and let the oven heat to 350
  6. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, making sure it doesn’t dry out.
  7. Cover with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries or berries
  8. Enjoy!!
