WONDER coming to a theater near you + Giveaway #WONDERthemovie

I love a good book. As a teacher and a mother, I love sharing my love of books with both my students and my kids.  One of my favorite books is Wonder. I have read this book with my class a few years ago and my children have both read it in 5th grade. In fact, my son just finished reading it last week. He loved every page and was super excited to hear that it a film adaption is opening up on Friday!

The film is based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER. It tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

We can’t wait to see this movie and in honor of its release, we’re giving away a prize pack. Here is what’s included :

  • T-shirt
  • Fidget Spinner
  • Lunch Bag
  • Book
  • Bookmark
  • Fish Eye Lens
  • Sky/Star Projector and a Screening Pass good for two to see the film in theaters.

All you have to do is let me know who you would take with you and why. Just leave a comment. Winner will be chosen by Random on Friday, November 17th. Good luck!

  1. I am looking forward to seeing Wonder. I have friend with a grandson with similar facial differences, I would take my very compassionate 15 year old grandson, he is planning on being a Special Ed. Teacher,

  2. I wasn’t even aware there is a book and would love to read it. I would take my daughter to the movie. She’s at the age now where differences in others are becoming more apparent and I would like her to further see the value and importance of compassion and understanding.

  5. My daughter has been begging me to take her to see this film. She knows my history of being bullied and we are very big on anti bullying. She said the little boy in the preview is perfect because God made him and is very excited to see the movie. Her teacher just informed me in our conference that Madison is big on being a role model and encourages others to be nice to her peers and I feel this would be a fun way to reward her for her kindness and love towards others!!

  6. I will take my 3 children to see this very important film. Especially now since this world can seem so scary at times , this film teaches a very important and needed message of loving and accepting one another.
