Things To Do With The Kids This Summer : Apple Movie Camp

Fun at Apple Camp!

Fun at Apple Camp!

I told you that we can’t wait for Summer. The countdown is on! Here’s another super fun idea to do with the kiddos this Summer.

I have two budding filmmakers at home. My kiddos love taking my camera or iPad and making dozens of movies a day. We love Apple Products and last year my daughter had the opportunity to participate in Apple Camp. What’s Apple Camp? Well let me tell you about this super fun little free camp at your local Apple Store.

At Apple Camp, kids ages 8-12,  learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at Apple Retail Stores, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Festival. Space is limited and workshops fill up quickly.

Head on over here to sign up to be notified when registration opens up. You want to sign up as soon as you get the notification because it fills up in a few hours. You’re going to love it! Promise!!!

Free Apple Movie Making Camp

I have two budding filmmakers at home. My kiddos love taking my camera or iPad and making dozens of movies a day. They love apple products and if they were older I would to have them participate in the Free Apple Movie Making Camps.

Apple stores across the country are offering free movie making camps. At Apple Camp, kids ages 8-12 learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This free workshop, held at Apple Retail Stores, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival. Space is limited and workshops fill up quickly, so sign up now for a super-creative adventure.

It looks like almost all apple stores are participating. I tried to find one locally that had spaces available and it looks like the apple store at the American at Brand in Glendale has many spots, while the store in Brea has no open spots. It just varies by location but it’s worth the shot. Looks like a super fun thing to do with the older kiddos.
