Yo-kai Watch: The Movie is coming to theaters for one day only, October 15, 2016!

If your kids watch Disney XD, like mine, they surely love this show.  This is the first English-language film based on the global Yo-kai Watch phenomenon, and features the voice talent from the hit show airing on Disney XD.

The film follows Nate Adams and his Yo-kai friends, Whisper and Jibanyan, as they’re transported to the past to help Nate’s grandfather, Nathaniel, battle evil Yo-kai and invent the Yo-kai Watch. Yo-kai Watch: The Movie Event also introduces a new Yo-kai — Hovernyan, a floating blue cat who is Nathaniel’s heroic companion.

RSVP for a chance to win a $50 gift card at the #YoKaiWatchMovie Twitter party October 13 at 1 p.m. ET / noon CT / 10 a.m. PT: http://bit.ly/2cU7zmw

You can see Yo-kai Watch: The Movie at LA Live 14 on Saturday, October 15, at 11 a.m., and have the opportunity to win fun Yo-kai Watch prizes. Check out all of the Hasbro Yo-kai Watch toys, take your photo with Yo-kai and play fun games!

Yo-kai Watch: The Movie Event attendees will also have a chance to receive a limited edition Hovernyan YO-MOTION YO-KAI MEDAL, while supplies last. Good idea to get your tickets now.

Outside of LA, you can find your local theater showing the film  and buy tickets at the Fathom Events site.

#ScaryFarm Still Spooking Spectators

Playful monsters, sinister clowns, ghosts, goblins, you name it – can be found lurking this year around Knott’s Scary Farm’s 44th annual Halloween haunt. My husband has been attending since the 17th year and it just keeps getting better. This is definitely not something for younger kids. Middle school age children will probably do just fine. Our kids still don’t feel like they are quite ready. Some mazes are intense and the shows are for mature audiences, but the experience is definitely a fun vibe all around.

Knott's Scary Farm

Special Ops: Infected: This was the best version of the Special Ops maze to date.  It is now a single maze, just line up and wait your turn to go into combat to fight zombies.  The new attraction is one of the largest mazes ever created in Knott’s Scary Farm history and it is definitely an action packed, one-of-a-kind experience.

Shadow Lands: This maze was the most unique ever seen at Knott’s Scary Farm. We embarked on a quest through a sacred shrine, an ancient Japanese temple and into the midst of the shadow lands. Crazy special effects and you might get a little wet!

Shadow Lands

Red Barn: We wandered cautiously through a blood-soaked barn filled with carnivorous animals seeking to prey on human flesh in the Red Barn gore maze. This one was gory and the talent were really fun! I’m not including pictures because everything was graphic. Just use your imagination! So below, I’ve included some evil monkeys instead.

Must haves for your visit: Fright Lane and Skeleton Key – these get you front of the line access to the mazes and rollercoasters. It also gives you exclusive entry into the Skeleton Key rooms which provide a mini spookshow for visitors. Friday and Saturday nights become quite busy and you will really limit your experience if you don’t have the Fright Lane wristband. There is not a single maze or show you want to miss.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

Must experience: Infected, Shadow Lands, Paranormal Inc., The Red Barn and of course, Elvira and her Danse Macabre show. Elvira is ageless!

Trick or Treat

What was that???

It’s Summer! Time to go out and enjoy the warm weather, or maybe not. My kiddos have been under the weather this past week and it’s definitely not fun! It’s never fun to be sick, but it’s definitely not fun to be sick when everyone is having a great time and enjoying the outdoors. My kiddos have had the flu this past week and with that comes aches, pains, and fevers.

One of the things that is a must have in our family for “sick days” is Children’s Advil.  It’s a great solution for kids as young as 2 and up to 11. Children’s Advil® comes in several great-tasting flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. There’s also Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.

It is a must have in our home!
