Dessert sampler tray.. the creme brule is out of this world!

I don’t know if many of you struggle with date night ideas, but I certainly do. It seems like my husband and I always wind up doing the same dinner and a movie because we become it’s comfortable. We live in Southern California and the possibilities are endless and yet we always wind up at the same place. I ‘m going to start a Saturday post called Date night ideas that I hope can motivate me to try out new places and maybe encourage someone else that is struggling with date night boredom, to try out some new places or ideas.

Appetizers

A few weeks ago, I was able to experience Sushi and Saki at Sam & Harry’s the amazing restaurant, located inside the Newport Beach Marriott.  I don’t drink at all so I pretty much skipped the Saki part, but absolutely loved the Sushi! However, everyone around me was loving the pairings of sushi with the different flavors of Saki and said it was incredibly delicious!

We feasted on some delicious sushi rolls that included crunchy, rainbow, spider and flower. The crunchy tempura roll was my absolute favorite and a must try.

Sam & Harry’s  sushi bar is fantastic and all of their rolls and sushi are fresh and made to order.Sushi Chef Kiyo was amazing and provided amazing service.

I think sometimes  we forget that some of our local hotels have some pretty top notch restaurants and they are not only for tourists to enjoy. My husband loves sushi and Japanese food and I can’t wait to have dinner there again with him. It’s a great place for a special date night.
