Fun Friday Eats: Pirate’s Dinner Adventure

Last week we had the opportunity to experience Pirate’s Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. I love dinner theater shows and had been wanting to take the kiddos to their first show. I have to admit that our experience didn’t start  out on the right note because my son fell asleep on the way there and was cranky as a bug during the pre show experience. I don’t know about you, but it seems like everytime we are geared up to do something super fun one of the kiddos has a meltdown. In our family it never fails!

He quickly recovered once he was able to walk in and watch the pirates and wenches in action!

Lauren enjoyed the pirates. Mikey not as much in the beggining.

This family friendly adventure was a big hit with our family. The kiddos were glued to the seat and pretty much ate everything off their plate. They loved every second of the adventure. The show was very entertaining and I love that you have the option of choosing from two adventures. You can either choose from the Curse of Poseidon’s Treasure, which features two explorers from our time that cross paths from pirates from long long ago or from Captain Sebastian’s Revenge, which revolves the capture and rescue of Princess Anita. Either one is sure to delight the family.

Dinner is actually pretty tasty. You enjoy either soup or a garden salad, a choice of half a roasted chicken with mashed potatoes or sliced barbecue pork. I tried both and I think the chicken was the best of the two. You finish off your meal with apple cobbler a la mode. Soft drinks and coffee are included.

The show features a replicated 18th century Spanish ship that measures 46 ft long and 18 ft wide. It is anchored in a indoor lagoon that transports you to another place and time.  Every seat in the house provides an excellent view!

We had a great time and my kiddos loved every minute of it. It is a fun and interactive show that would be perfect for a special occasion or treat. I think it would be fun to come with a group of family and friends .
