Disney Sunday: Upcoming Fun with D23

It’s quite obvious on this blog that my family is a huge Disney fan.  If you are as much a fan as we are and you haven’t already, you have got to sign up to become a member of Disney D23, The Official Disney Fan Club.  It is worth every cent and the perks are fabulous.  On a recent visit to the Walt Disney Studios, D23 provided a preview of the upcoming fun they have planned for 2012.

The event that has me most excited is the D23 Fanniversary Celebration. It commemorates more than 40 Disney milestones that are celebrating an anniversary in 2012, such as Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland and even Duck Tales.  These events will be held in Orlando, New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.  The Fanniversary events will be open to the public, with special admission and surprises created just for D23 Members in attendance.

Also returning in 2012 are the super popular Walt Disney Studio tours.  The tours have probably been the most popular D23 event outside of the Expo since the club began.  This year they have doubled capacity for the tours, which will be held over several weekends throughout the year.
