Holiday Time at Heritage Hill Historical Park

Heritage Hill Historical Park

I love Southern California and love discovering new places. I’ve lived in Orange County for over a decade and I’m still surprised by the many hidden gems that are found here. This past week I had the opportunity to tour one of Orange County’s hidden gems, Heritage Hill Historic Park in Lake Forest.

This beautiful park is dedicated to preserve some of Orange County’s oldest buildings. Four fully restored historic buildings are on display at the park and represent the Saddleback and El Toro areas from 1863 to 1908. Guided tours through the buildings are provided for the public Wednesday through Sunday. The tours offer an interpretation of Saddleback area history through the artifacts, events and people associated with each building. Landscaping of the park is in keeping with the historic nature of the buildings.

Tomorrow, Saturday December 3rd, the park will host it’s annual Victorian Christmas. The park will be dressed up for the holidays and will feature musical performers, hands on activities for the kiddos and families, butter churning, candle dipping, Victorian inspired crafts and cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus. The 30th annual Victorian Christmas takes place on December 3rd from 11am to 3pm.

The Candlelight Tour will take place on December 10th and 11th. Heritage Hill Park will transform itself into a holiday wonderland and feature over a thousand luminaries lighting up the pathways. There will be carolers, storytellers, flamenco dancers and other live entertainment. Make sure to bring a camera to take pictures with Santa.

Admission for each event is $4 for adults and $3 for kiddos.

The kids and I had a great time and we can’t wait to head there next weekend! For additional information head here.
