SoCal Helpful Honda Dealers

This season the great guys and gals from the SoCal Honda Dealers are on a mission to do good will and service for everyone in SoCal. They area a big baseball supporter and last week we had the opportunity to attend our favorite team in Red in Anaheim. My hubby and I had a great time attending a Friday night game a couple weeks ago, compliments of SoCal Honda. The home team won, which made the whole night that much better. It was a simple date night for the two of us, which was wonderful.

SoCal Honda can be seen everywhere now, all of the drag mats, which rake the field at least twice per game, now feature SoCal Honda. All of the helpful condiment stations within the concourse now are sponsored by them is well. The blue SoCal Honda logo can be seen everywhere.

Help is on the Way! During the game, SoCal Honda showcased on the big screen some of the up-and-coming talent within the MLB minor league system who will help the major league team soon. This happens during every game this season. There are some fine prospects heading our way.

If you make it out on July 4th or July 18th, the Street Team will be onsite in Anaheim with free merchandise for fans. There is so much good stuff this year. Most Fridays feature giveaways and Saturday nights feature fireworks after the show. It’s fun, safe and affordable fun for the whole family.

Summer at The Hollywood Bowl

I love Summer! Our family has a few Summer Traditions. We have to go to beach a couple of times, visit theme parks, a water park, and try to at least catch one outdoor music concert/festival. Last year we visited the Hollywood Bowl and this year we plan on doing it again as a family. I love that we can pack a picnic basket, bring a blanket, and enjoying a beautiful evening under the stars.

The Hollywood Bowl has quite a few family concerts this season.

Make sure to take advantage of the Park and Ride lots or the shuttle. Parking can be really intense at The Hollywood Bowl. I would really recommend taking the shuttle to avoid the hassle. We’ve taken it a few times and I can’t imagine not doing it again.

A Hunger Free Summer : Making a Difference in 3 Minutes #HungerFreeSummer

Summer is finally upon us. It’s the time of year to have fun, play all day in the sun, and leave your worries behind. It’s also a time of year when many of our children go hungry. I work as a teacher in an economically disadvantaged area. The majority of the kiddos at our school receive a free or reduced lunch. For many of these kiddos, receiving a free lunch and/or breakfast, makes the difference in whether or not they go hungry that day. Yesterday was the last day of school, and for some of our kiddos it means going hungry because they will not have access to lunch/breakfast. When kiddos are out of school nearly 90 % do not have access to the free/reduced meals.

I’m thankful that there are programs and companies trying to make sure that not one child goes hungry this summer. The Conagra Foundation is continuing to raise awareness of child hunger and ending summer time child hunger.

The Conagra Foundation is helping prevent child hunger by funding 26 food banks in 18 states this summer with 20 to 50 thousand to fund their summer feeding program. Conagra’s Hunger Free initiative with Feed America has a goal of reaching 25% more children during the next five years and it looks like they are not only on track to meet it, but to exceed it! Wohoo!!!!

Here is how you can help! ConAgra Foods has partnered with Kid President to help spread the message. Simply view, like or share this video to help raise awareness for child hunger this summer. For each of these actions, the ConAgra Foods Foundation will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America, up to two million meals.¹
