Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch

Update: The giveaway has closed. The winner of the giveaway is Dawn. Thank you all for entering.

September is almost over. Can you believe it? It seems like this month just flew by. It also means that Halloween is just around the corner, which just so happens to be my favorite holiday! We have a lot of Halloween traditions in our family, and one of our favorite ones is visiting the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. This weekend we had the opportunity to head to the park, have a ton of fun, and of course pick out a pumpkin.

It's my daughter's 9th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

It’s my daughter’s 10th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

We had a great time visiting the patch. The kids rode the train, went on a hayride, bounced in a bouncy house, rode bikes, got lost in a maze, and of course ate some yummie treats.

This is Irvine Park Railroad’s 10th year of putting on the pumpkin patch. I think with every year that goes by, the patch only gets better. We’ve been coming since the very 1st one, when my daughter was only a few months old. It’s definitely a family tradition.

The Pumpkin Patch is open from now until Halloween. It’s open 7 days a week, starting at 10am. Entrance to the patch is free and tickets for activities/train rides are $5 each. There are plenty  of spots to take great photos and so much to do with the family.

It’s giveaway time! We’re giving away a prize package to one lucky reader.

Win 4 tickets – which can be used to ride the train or participate in Pumpkin Patch activities, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals bike rental, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals Paddle Boat Rental.

All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know what you love the most about Halloween. That’s it! Winner will be chosen at random. Giveaway ends on October 1st at 11:59pm. Good luck!

Halloween Roundup: Brick-or-Treat Party at the Legoland Resort

Brick or Treat Party Legoland

Brick or Treat Party Legoland

The days are flying by, and although it’s hard to believe with 100 degree plus weather, Halloween is only about a month away. It is one of my family’s favorite holidays and we go all out. We love to decorate, dress up, and make our way to some fun Halloween events.

One of our favorites is the Brick-or-Treat Party Nights at Legoland. The party is taking place every Saturday in October, plus two Friday nights, October 17th, and October 24th. We make it out each year and it so much fun! There is so much for the kiddos to do. They can trick or treat, dance the night away, costume contests, and Fireworks! Brick-or-Treat is included with general day admission, or you can purchase event only tickets for that evening. Event tickets start at $30 for Friday nights, and $35 for Saturday nights.  We have season passes and get in for Free. It’s one other reason why I love having an annual pass to Legoland.

Last year, my son’s kindergarten class visited Peltzer Farms on a field trip. I had never visited Peltzer, and was excited to learn about this fun little place. I fell in love with the Farm, and can’t wait to take the kids this year.  Petlzer Farms is located in the middle of Wine Country in Temecula, and it is an absolutely beautiful place.

Peltzer Farms is an authentic pumpkin farm, and offers plenty of fun. They are home to one amazing corn maze. I actually couldn’t find my way out, when we visited with my son’s class. I was some parent volunteer! Ha! They also are home to pig races. The pig races take place every day, and they are so much fun! They are also free to watch. In fact, my two favorite attractions at the farm, the pig races, and the maze, are Free. Peltzer Farms is also the perfect setting for pictures. You have to make sure to take your camera, because the props are so cute! They have the vintage farm appearance, and you will find old pickup trucks, tractors, etc..

There is also a fun petting zoo, train rides, mining, and pony rides. Of course you will also find pumpkins of all sizes! They honestly have some of the coolest looking pumpkins, and had every size imaginable. It’s pretty safe to say, that you will find the pumpkin of your dreams here.

Peltzer Farms is open everyday from 9am to 8pm, until October 31st. For additional info and directions, head here.
