Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch

Update: The giveaway has closed. The winner of the giveaway is Dawn. Thank you all for entering.

September is almost over. Can you believe it? It seems like this month just flew by. It also means that Halloween is just around the corner, which just so happens to be my favorite holiday! We have a lot of Halloween traditions in our family, and one of our favorite ones is visiting the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch. This weekend we had the opportunity to head to the park, have a ton of fun, and of course pick out a pumpkin.

It's my daughter's 9th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

It’s my daughter’s 10th visit to the pumpkin patch! She started as a baby!

We had a great time visiting the patch. The kids rode the train, went on a hayride, bounced in a bouncy house, rode bikes, got lost in a maze, and of course ate some yummie treats.

This is Irvine Park Railroad’s 10th year of putting on the pumpkin patch. I think with every year that goes by, the patch only gets better. We’ve been coming since the very 1st one, when my daughter was only a few months old. It’s definitely a family tradition.

The Pumpkin Patch is open from now until Halloween. It’s open 7 days a week, starting at 10am. Entrance to the patch is free and tickets for activities/train rides are $5 each. There are plenty  of spots to take great photos and so much to do with the family.

It’s giveaway time! We’re giving away a prize package to one lucky reader.

Win 4 tickets – which can be used to ride the train or participate in Pumpkin Patch activities, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals bike rental, 1 Wheel Fun Rentals Paddle Boat Rental.

All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know what you love the most about Halloween. That’s it! Winner will be chosen at random. Giveaway ends on October 1st at 11:59pm. Good luck!

Wordless Wednesday: Say Cheese!

“Cheese”

This past weekend we paid a visit to Irvine Park Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch for our annual pumpkin picking. We rode the train, the kiddos had the time of their lives, we met up with family and of course took plenty of pictures.

We also tried to get the cousins to take a picture. How do you get a one, three, five  and  seven year old to say cheese at the same time? Well you can’t. It’s kind of like as a friend shared this week, wrangling cats, impossible but oh so fun!

I can’t believe we are well into September and that means only one thing, fall is around the corner and so is Halloween! Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons and  I think hands down Halloween is the funnest holiday. I love creating traditions for our family and heading to  Irvine Park Railroad to pick a pumpkin and participate in the fun activities has now become a Halloween tradition for our family.

A hayride is a must when you visit the pumpkin patch!

Hayrides

This year’s Pumpkin Patch activities include:  Train rides, hay rides, a haunted house, a hay maze, pony rides, a moon bounce, carnival games, John Deere tractor racers, face painting, panning for gold, picture stands, great food and The Orange County Zoo.

KIddos love riding the tractors

There are plenty of places for photo opportunities and the pumpkin patch has great size pumpkins at a pretty reasonable price. We usually head there twice during the season.

Pumpkins big and small

We always have a great time riding the tractors, getting our faces painted, jumping in the bounce house and of course picking pumpkins.

"Spooky" Bounce House

Admission to the pumpkin patch is free as well as touring the Haunted House, Hay Maze and dozens of cute picture stands.
