We love the Irvine Park Railroad and have made so many wonderful memories there. They have become a part of our family’s tradition and we’ve spent many wonderful afternoons as a family making memories.

This weekend, February 23rd and 24th, the Irvine Park Railroad is celebrating it’s 17th anniversary with $ 2 Train tickets, activities, and hot dogs! They are rolling back prices to 1996. I just checked the forecast and it looks like the rain will stay away.

Wicked is coming to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts

I love musical theater and love exposing both of my children to it. I have seen Phantom of the Opera over 13 times, I’m telling you, I LOVE musical theater. My all time favorite show by far has to be Wicked, and luckily it is coming to the Performing Arts Center for an almost an entire month.Wicked will be coming to the performing arts center from February 20th to March 17th.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to catch Wicked on stage, now is your chance! If you love The Wizard of Oz, you will LOVE Wicked! The show has won over 35 awards and honest to goodness it will leave you in tears. Words cannot explain how good this show is. Last time it played, I took my daughter who was 5 at the time and she fell in love with it. This year I’m planning on taking the entire family.

If you have some time to spare and would love to have amazing seats for only $25 you have to try your luck with the Lottery.

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for Wicked, which will be performing from February 20th to March 17th at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time people who present themselves at the Plaza level above Segerstrom Center Box Office will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then 30 minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the Box Office, with a limit of two tickets per person.

We won it twice the last time it was around and what a treat that was! We had second row seats and a view like no other! You have to give it a try. Toma Leche Positive Song Award! #Positivismo

I love a good award show. You name it and I love watching it, from the Tony’s to the Emmy’s, I watch them all. I also love watching the Spanish award shows and Premios Lo Nuestro, is a great one to watch. This very special award show, recognizes artists in the Latino community that are making a difference. I will be rooting for my personal favorite, Jenni Rivera. I would give the the “Toma Leche Positive Song Award” to her song, “A Cambio de Que” for sure! She died tragically in December, but was the living embodiment of being positive.

Award shows are always nerve wracking. I get nervous for the nominees! I hope they all can relax the night before and I would definitely reommend drinking a little milk the night before, to make sure they get that good night’s rest and be full of positive energy the next day!
