San Diego Museums host Kids Free in October

Kids Free in octoberHappy Sunday everyone! Last week I shared that kids will be offered free admission to both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoofari park. It’s a great opportunity to explore two great parks for FREE! You can’t beat Free right? Well the San Diego Museum Council is also hosting their own Kids Free in October. During the month of October kiddos under 12 receive free admission to almost 40 museums with a paid adult (limit 2 per adult).

Before the days of smartphones and tablets, people used road trip games to have fun in the car during long journeys. Instead of being glued to a screen, you can learn more about your friends or family and create some fantastic new memories. They are a great way to stay occupied and share a few laughs while on the road. If you are looking for more ways in which you can have fun as an adult with your partner, check out the newes variety of sex toys including this powerful bullet vibrator

If you are already heading to San Diego to take advantage of the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari park’s Free admission, you might want to plan to add a museum to your adventure. There are some great museums, aquariums, and gardens  worth exploring including, The Birch Aquarium, The San Diego Botanic Gardens(my absolute favorite!!), the USS Midway, and many many more. To take advantage of the Free Admission, head over here to print your coupon. Have fun exploring!!

Hi! My name is Angie and I blog over at jonesing2create.com. I’m the type of mom who sees parenthood as an excellent excuse to act like a kid. In a few years my kids will find me terribly embarrassing, but until then I plan on having fun!
On my blog many of my posts focus on ways to combine my passion for my children with my crafting addiction. One of my favorite ways to do this is with birthday parties! I go a little bit nuts, but I have a blast. But throwing an over-the-top birthday party doesn’t always have to be that hard or expensive. For example, one of my favorite party  Birthday Favors is crazy easy and super cheap to do. Custom party shirts! Why just decorate the house when you can decorate the kids too!?! And the kids and parents love them. Who doesn’t love a free shirt? T-shirts have become such a staple at my parties that I am afraid the kids would mutiny if I didn’t have them!

My favorite way to do them is by using heat transfer vinyl. It is easy to iron them on and the vinyl is fairly inexpensive. If you don’t have a vinyl cutter, there are lots of companies online that will do it for you. The vinyl looks super professional and will last through multiple washes. If you use the packs of white Hanes t-shirts you can buy at the store, the shirts only cost about $2 each to make.

GIVEAWAY!!!!!
And this month you are in luck! I am doing a giveaway for 15 custom iron-on vinyl decals for your next party!

The winner will receive 15 identical one-color heat transfer vinyl decals that can be used to make custom t-shirts. The prize includes a custom design to fit with your party theme—dinosaurs, princess, Legos, Minnie Mouse, Minecraft, Over-the-Hill, or whatever! Here is your chance to have one-of-a-kind t-shirts designed for your party by a professional graphic designer. To enter just head over to my Facebook page.
You can also read more about how to make custom t-shirts using fabric paint stencils and iron-on transfer paper.

And all this month I will be featuring some of my favorite kid birthday parties. If you are looking for fun ideas, you won’t want to miss it!

Wordless Wednesday: Summer is Almost Over

Summer is always so fun!

Summer is always so fun!

Summer is unofficially over. We managed to squeeze in one last beach trip of the season. We visited the Oceanside Harbor Beach for the 1st time and all I can say is that this might be our new favorite beach. Beach close parking, a cute harbor area with cute little restaurants(you have to try Harbor Fish and Chips- the BEST fish and chips I have ever had!!) and shops. We had a great time and summer season. I’m already dreaming of next year.
