The Del Mar Farmers Market is a must visit!

We have one more day of work/school and then we are off for two weeks. Over the next couple of days we’ll be posting some great ideas for activities that won’t break the bank.  Here are some great places to go for little $! All you need is a tank of gas, some parking and food and you are ready to roll! Have fun!

Imaginology 2015 at the OC Fairgrounds

In 2014, the Kids Expo in Orange County was completely overhauled into something even better, it’s now called Imaginology, Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead, April 24 – 26th at the OC Fairgrounds.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Kids all ages, from 3 to 18, are invited to showcase their talents with both individual and group project competitions. There are all kinds of exhibits and hands-on activities for everyone.  Did I mention, it’s free?

Somethings to look forward to:

Tour the Centennial Farm & learn about agriculture and farm animals.

  • Watch milking and oxen team demonstrations
  • Take a FREE tractor pulled wagon ride
  • Experience the Bug Barn
  • See a real worm farm
  • Plant seeds and make terrariums
  • Pet baby chicks and petting zoo animals
  • Play farmer in the Pretend Farm
  • Learn leather-stamping

  • Create hand crafts with free art-making materials
  • Get your hands dirty and make a pinch pot
  • Play with science and engineering toys

  • Earn prizes in a scavenger hunt

First Weekend of the month means some fun and FREE stuff coming up!

Birch Aquarium offers Free Admission to Bank of America credit or debit card holders!

It’s been one heck of a week, as you can tell with my very sporadic posting. I’m soooo looking forward to this weekend and to having some fun! This is the first weekend of the month and that means there are some fun and free taking place this weekend and during the next couple of days.

First things first, the Bank Of America, museums on us, is taking place this weekend. Take advantage and hit a couple of museums,aquariums and zoo’s all for free with your Bank of America card.

Target Free Admission is sponsoring free admission to two fantastic children’s museums, La Habra Children’s Museum and the Bowers Museum and Kidseum.

Also Tuesday is the first Tuesday of the month and you can receive free admission at the La Brea Tarpits, the Los Angeles Natural History Museum, evening admission to Kidspace Museum and admission to the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas. You can read about it here.
